Good morning! My work outs begin with 20 min stair master lvl 8, well yesterday I thought I would pick it up a notch and jump to lvl 10, I did 20 minutes, when I got off the machine my heart felt Like it was going to explode out of my chest... I started to panic and stumbled to a treadmill to check my heart rate... 168, I was dripping sweat... I finally got back to normal after drinking water and breathing... Today doing a work out class.

"Unofficial start of summer", my ass.
Torrental rains, 47 now, dropping to 42 by 1700. Got-damned furnace kicked on!
Lawn is knee high.

Yay...

scary to see what happened in moore and surrounding areas in Oklahoma, debris was found 70-100 miles away in some cases, friend had a cancelled check drop in his yard from someone living over 75 miles away... I used to visit OK before moving out here and I remember a trip to OKC from Tulsa around 2002 we had passed this large pad of concrete I could see off the highway and I asked those in the car with me, "what are they going to build there"... they answered that was the mall the '99 tornado completely leveled.... I don't think they ever rebuilt it, but it was completely gone...even that many years later you could still see the aftermath, tornado was so insane it was pulling grass out of the ground !!!!

wife just showed me a video someone took of mondays tornado, really freaky man... I used to joke out loud during storms and say "bring it on", doubt I'll be doing that anymore...

prayers to those affected by the storms !!!!

Got up this morning and made paleo pancakes, eggs and bacon for the family. Was thinking about how a lot of people make PB, honey and bacon sandwiches so I used the pancakes and almond butter. Man that was good. Will be making more of them next weekend. I was going to say for hunting season but I didn't get drawn for elk or deer.

Must drink more coffee...cup #2 isn't cutting it.

Just got back from a 6.5 km run. Having another cup of coffee and will likely go out to buy a Lodge Sportsman's Grill. Anyone else have one of these? Thoughts?

Ethan owns that grill. It's around $100 at the Lodge Factory Outlet over in South Pittsburg, TN, and I've nearly bought it twice.
We went over to E's a couple years back for his birthday party, and John cooked some fantastic carne asada tacos on that thing. I've been eyeing it ever since.
It is a big hunk of iron and really maintains the heat once you get it going.
Sometimes they feature "seconds" at that outlet store, but the imperfections are really minor.
I've stopped a couple of times, looking to see if I could find a "seconds" grill. No luck so far.

Just tried out some scales out of lacewood. That stuff cleans up MUCH nicer than I thought it would, and is super easy to work. Like, super easy. I've got some fun ideas for a modded 9 now using scales made out of this wood. Here's a camp knife I'm working on with the stuff, so you can get the idea. Used a CA finish, so far buffed up to 1200 grit. This stuff is quite inexpensive, all things considered, and I can get it at my local woodcraft store. What do you guys think? Would you like to have a 9 with a steep clip, full flat or full convex ground, and lacewood scales?

Oh yea........ Gamestalker....

I must say, nice little knife indeed.
