The guy I am making it likes the look of it and likes how the layers look. Next set won't look so glossy... I like making these types of handles but a pain trying to match up the other side when hand shaping and sanding it. Not sure how everyone else makes them, I am guessing some type of machine?

Belt sander or files mostly...Unless you have a CNC machine that can mill out both sets symmetrically.
 
Just my luck. I went to uni to hand in my thesis, I come back and in that exact timespan, the mailman had been there. A little paper welcomed me in the mailbox, it said a package will be waiting for me at the local post office on Monday. I didn't order anything so what else could it be than the... SWABBIE! And now I have to spend a whole weekend thinking of how I could've been spending it with the Swabbie :(
 
They woke me up an hour early to figure out the coffee maker. Took me a few to figure out the sequence of operations, but by God we have java!
