Worst Accidental Cut?

I had just finished sharpening on a Gatco sharpener, and I was wiping off my blade with a rag. Somehow my thumb slid along the blade, but I stopped it before I caused too much damage. It still bled for a couple of days.

Cutting up cardboard boxes with a full size Benchmade Griptillian. The knife slipped and I gashed open my left hand. I still have the knife and the scar. Emercency room stitched me up. I taught me a valueable lesson on not being careless with a knife.

Most of these are way worse than mine as far as blood goes, but mine was a real pain in the arse. I sliced the tip of my dominant (right) thumb opening my Mini-Dozier when my thumb slipped off the stud and I missed it going back for it. About 3/4 inch long and fairly deep, straight down. The location meant I had problems opening or closing any folder for almost a month without it hurting like hell.

Respect is a two way street, I lost respect for my knife, my knife lost respect for me...but I love flipping a balisong, so I'm getting better and screwing up less, still screwing up, though. :o

Dont really have any bad knife wound stories of cutting myself... I do however have one from one of my knives...

My friend came over.. and asked me if the pocket knife on my desk was sharp when I was about 16.. I said you can shave with it..
He opens it up... ran his fingers DIRECTLY down the blade from tip to handle....
He says "damn it is sharp" folded the knife back up.. put it back on my desk... sat on my bed... Im just looking at him in awe.. wondering how he didnt cut himself..... 10 seconds later he jumps in the air starts screaming and blood is being flicked all around my room. Next couple of weeks he has these white tip caps on his fingers not sure if they were hard like casts or what but his Mother tried to blame me for it happening. I did however learn that you NEVER assume people know how to use or handle any tool properly.
