Worst factory edge you encountered

I bought a couple of Queen MM knives a few years back. Sharp as a spoon.

So true. I have two MM one a Queen Whittle, the other a Camillus Muskrat. The whittler , with its thin blades took a fine edge. The Camillus won't get to the level of sharpness I want. It reminds me of sharpening a bayonet.

It kills me that one pays a premium for MMs, I expect more, but they are so cool.

On a side note, at knife that surprised me as being sharp was a Queen Canoe, 1095. It came with an awesome blade even though I was fully prepared to pull out the stones after being a reader of this forum.

I have had a ton of very dull Customs.

Maybe.....because I am used to Krein'ed knives now, and all others just seem dull?

All the Sebbies I get are very dull from CRK, I once sent a reprofiled Sebbie in for a tune up, and forgot they also sharpen them......well they reprofiled her back into a butter knife. :o They also killed a little of my blade height.

Now if I send them in, I wrap tape around the blade, and write "do not sharpen." Sad really.

Queen Schatt & Morgan File & Wire Series Deluxe English Jack came dull as a knee.

I guess anything made by man can have a defect. Most Bark Rivers are sharp but I got one that you could ride to china on and not get cut.

2 of my favourites came with the worst edges. ZT301 and ZT150. They came sharp, its just the angles on the 2 sides where totaly different. One side was about 20-25 deg and the other 35-40deg. It took me hours to get them the same.

Same thing happened to me!!!
LOve the knife but one side barely has an edge at all and the other side
was ok.I have to rework the basterd just don't have the time right know.
So it's a safe queen.
