Worst knife deals you ever saw?

Interesting I like the look of that as well. Seeing the price vary widely from dealer to dealer though. Some have it at $115 and looks like Knifeworks has it at $78. Is this supposed to be an exclusive for them?
It can't be, it's posted by a few folks on Ebay as well, one of whom is an official "dealer" for Spartan, to my understanding. So, it's probably just like any other knife, prices will vary between dealers.

Now we're going to have to start amortizing / depreciating our knife collections...and take capital gains and losses.

Be on the lookout for sharp accountants.

Been like that in MA since 2017, and spreading to more states. Nothing like getting a surprise 1099 from PayPal after selling stuff on ebay, and then having to file Schedule C as if you own a small business🤬. Have to keep records now of my purchases and sales so I only get taxed on the profit, if any. Otherwise get taxed on the entire 1099 amount.

I don't even think that's an honorable mention, I think Tracker Dan may be in the running for the flat-out win. I'm not saying he doesn't have some great designs, and the handle wrap is really stellar. But I swear, given the materials, fit, and finish, only an idiot would pay more than $250 for a Bloodshark, which I've never seen for sale for less than like $1,250! It's like the Sebenza of prison shanks, but, it's still basically a prison shank, so it can only ever really be worth so much.
I'd rather have an actual prison shank if I was in a fight. This little knucklecutter is no match for a jailmade icepick when it comes to lethal penetration.

"Well, that sounds hideous!"

As long as you keep re-investing the capital gains within one year, you'll be fine. Keep selling/buying.

Oh, wait, we are talking about knives. :D

Thanks to the COVID 'stimulus' bill, that's all of us starting in 2022!

Let's not venture down the road toward political discussion or some posts will probably need moving.

That makes no sense, but then, looking at your signature line where you were attempting to sell a knife for $120 that cost $140 new, I am not confident that you know what "return on investment" actually means. 😅 😅
You obviously misunderstood the post. Not surprising considering your brand worship.
The circle jerk at usn misses you.

Perhaps the knife community isn’t for you. This thread is about “worst deals”. You post some of the most respected companies in the industry then bitch about brand worship? K

You know, I'd have to say that about several of the more 'budget' brand knifemakers. CRKT, Gerber, SOG, and Boker mainly, and even Buck a little bit...

Oh, no you didn't!

Buck has been making quality built knives with great heat treat for decades. A Buck 110 in S45VN will do anything a Sebenza can and will look classier while doing it, for half the price

CRKT/Gerber?SOG are in their own little circle of mediocrity (with notable exceptions).
