Worst knife you've ever spent money on. How much was it?

I know that when I was younger than I am now (about 10 maybe) I got a crappy little tac force folding karambit for $10 on amazon.
At the time I got it, I didn't know what a "good knife" was so I thought it was good for some reason. Boy was I wrong because it had "Benchmade centering", was made in china, cost $10, didn't keep an edge, and some part of the handle broke when I tried to open a bottle with it. Oh yeah and it was a folding karambit that for some reason was tip down carry!
I feel embarrassed to have ever gotten the thing, let alone think it was good. Luckily I got rid of it.

$11.95 and it's an incredible piece of junk.

To it's credit, it apparently has kept all zombies away as I've encountered none since buying the knife.

Meyerco Maxx-Q with a Besh Wedge. It was ages ago but I probably paid $25? I hope I didn't pay more. Horrible knife.

I still have it somewhere. :D

Every knife I bought pre-2013/14 or so was crap. I just bought them because they looked cool or whatever. You know, like MTech garbage, Flying J knives. I have none of them anymore. Gave them to guys who cooked for me or occasionally just tossed them right into the trash.

The worse knife I ever made was a Duane Deuter Masters of Defense CQD. Brand new out of the box, the plunge lock would not disengage from the tang of the blade. Horrible blade slop, up and down, and side to side. I sent the knife back to MOD and it looks like the took a Dremel to grind the shaft of the plunge lock, therefore, allowing the blade to be disengaged. I was terribly upset with this warranty fix. Contacted them again and they pretty much said that they did all that they could do to the knife. Really? They couldn't replace the plunge piece, but grinded it down a bit. It's no wonder they are no longer in business.....

This knife, worse one I've ever had

ADV mini Butcher. Seriously. I was really into wharncliffes at the time and dropped $450 on one. The framelock was useless. It would close under the slightest pressure. I'm not talking spine whacks, but light pressure from my thumb. I sent it back immediately. Right or wrong, I have not trusted framelocks or ADV knives since.

... or occasionally just tossed them right into the trash.
Only knife I ever literally trashed was a gift -- some piece of junk wallhanger with painted-on "etchings" and a plastic sheath. I waited as long as I could out of respect for the giver but eventually just took a dremel to the edge and it went into the trash.

You know, I'm gonna go with the CRKT Tighe Tac Two Tanto, because it showed me how nice of a Design CRKT can put out while using meh materials. (It's like a 85ish $ knife here)

CRKT Small lake folder. Worst knife I ever bought. I think it was under $15. Even after taking it apart and cleaning it the ere was so much grittiness I just tossed it in the garbage.

Smith & Wesson. Something along these lines. I think I paid like $24 for it my freshman year of college. It was before I knew anything about quality knives, but it never failed me so I can't complain about it.

I don't think I've ever had a really bad knife. I didn't start buying knives at all until I was in my mid-20s and I was introduced to the hobby by some friends who had good taste in knives, so I started out with Benchmade, Spyderco, and other good-quality brands.

That said ... the worst knife I can remember spending money on was an Al Mar Quicksilver. Serrations were mangled out of the box, and a knife with no pocket clip that won't stay closed in the pocket is just another way of asking for a trip to the ER. As bad knives go it was actually pretty good, and I occasionally look for one with the pocket clip because I still like the design.

Now I kind of want to know what the best "worst knife you've ever bought" someone has is. Maybe there's a guy out there somewhere who bought a Shiro and was disappointed because every other knife he owns is a high-end custom?

Brous Blades Parallax. $150 sale on a $550 knife.. thought it was too good to pass up even though I wasnt entirely drawn to it.

The worst lockstick I have ever felt. Could barely close the damn thing. Me being an impatient dumbass tried all manner of things to fix it, that no doubt voided my warranty..
It's better now, but it's just a "meh" knife I never carry and just sits in a drawer..

Kershaw shuffle 2- 20$, not because the knife is terrible (it’s better than it’s predecessor actually), I just learned some harsh lessons about the values of knives and super steels with that knife.
