Hey guys how are yah
Below is a transaction I did with Ak74auto which was possibly my worst one up till today. I have always solved every problem on any transactions and usually have none.
This trade did take place on Knife forums and it is posted there as well, but since this poster posts here a lot as well I just thought I would warn the other people here since this is an online community.
AJ1985 - BLACK
AK74auto BLUE
JAMES NOWKA - RED
He only had 2 or 3 posts at that time so i asked him to send his stuff first. (I had a total of 20)
He stated he got burned by another transaction and didn't want to send his stuff first.
He got James Nowka to be the go between. We would both send our stuff to James and he would pass it on to the other party.
I told AK74auto that I will contact Derespina and he will send James the karambit.
(I sent the money to Derespina and he went to work on the karambit) I think the sheaths are handmade and take a bit of time from him
I'm quite bad at paraphrasing so I will just copy our private topic in regard to this.

ME: My paypal has already been sent. (for shipping costs to James)
I'm posting here first, because everyone was part of this trade.
I just received the package and I very much appreciate the time you took James.
The below is for AK
My question is what does NIB mean exactly. I have half of a box which you flattened and sent to James. Torn as well as taped.
I can provide the email as well where it states. A NIB Spyderco Ronin without tek-lok for a NIB straight from Derespina Model 10. So i want to ask how exactly this will be solved.
take care and James thank you for being the go between and I hold nothing against you whatsoever.

"Hey Joe How are yah
I sent you and email already and have not received a response yet. No worries I understand you might be busy. I would just like to finish this transaction with you and be on my way. Spyderco RONIN is not NIB there isn't even a full box and to save a bit of money the box was flattened when shipped, because the shipping box was way to small.
This is the only option that is fair that comes to my mind.
Pay me the money I'm out and also the shipping fees and I will send the knife back to you. $93+10+15 = $118
I would just like to solve this and have no ill will towards you, but please keep me updated on your decision so I may know what is going on.

AK74auto:
First of all the actual knife was "NIB" when I shipped it. Second just like Wal-mart or other places, boxes gets damnaged because of handling. Third up until this point I have not appriecated your tone of emails, meaning you are accusing me of being a liar and/ or theif. I kept my end of the bargin. Mr. James has not objected to any part of the transaction.
I have been fair in my dealings with you, I have incurred more shipping charges, my knife was shipped out as promised /when promised, and yet I had to wait for 2 to 3 weeks for you to finish your part of the trade.
I am not going to pay you $118.00 and have you send me back a knife that you have had in your possession for atleast a week and which may now be in suspect condition. As far as I am concerned our transaction is final, and I will not be dealing with any business with you ever again.
Signed,
Joseph
P.s. Of all the knife or weapons related trades yours has been the only one that has cost me this much grief.

First of all the actual knife was "NIB" when I shipped it.
Could you give me a defintion of (box) then. The box you used to ship the knife to James is smaller than the Spyderco Ronin Box. I received half of the Spyderco box (the top half).
So if the item (Spyderco RONIN) is bigger than the parcel box. You get a bigger box. You should have seen the box James sent the knife in it could have fit three RONIN.
Have you seen Spyderco boxes they have two halves
Second just like Wal-mart or other places, boxes gets damnaged because of handling.
How does a box get damaged when it isn't even shipped with the knife in the first place. I have half of a flattened box.
Third up until this point I have not appreciated your tone of emails, meaning you are accusing me of being a liar and/ or theif. I kept my end of the bargin. Mr. James has not objected to any part of the transaction.
You had your wife send the knife, and maybe she isn't a knife person. A box is just as important to a collector. Thats why I asked NIB
James was the go between, but i haven't asked him to be involved. I have sent you two email a few days apart. If you feel like I'm calling you a liar or a thief you need to develop thicker skin.
I have been fair in my dealings with you, I have incurred more shipping charges,
Your point being
You came to me with the trade and you agreed to everything so why are you complaining about shipping costs now.
I'm in Canada and your in the US ofcourse shipping would be more.
my knife was shipped out as promised /when promised, and yet I had to wait for 2 to 3 weeks for you to finish your part of the trade.
I contacted Rich derespina to send you the Karambit and you can see when I paid for it by paypal. It isn't my fault if he was late or got behind. He makes the kydex sheaths and sends em out with the knife. How is that my fault.
I am not going to pay you $118.00 and have you send me back a knife that you have had in your possession for atleast a week and which may now be in suspect condition.
Yeah thats why it took you a few days to reply to your post after I sent another email eh. I have two other Spyderco Ronins and If I needed to use them I would. Why in my right mind would I emphasize NIB if I wanted to use the Ronin and already had two. One which is used and the other which is NIB.
As far as I am concerned our transaction is final, and I will not be dealing with any business with you ever again.
That was pretty self explanatory wouldn't you say.
Transaction is only final when we both are satisfied. If you choose to end this transaction at this point I will be forced to go to knifeforums.

Ditto would be my response, but really grief is such a subjective thing. If my two emails have caused you grief then you shouldn't be trading or selling.
btw if you needs pics of anything I will be more than happy to send those as well or post em on here.

P.S If my tone has offended you for that I will apologize, but I only stated the truth.

Ok
Here is my imput...
I did not feel the Ronin was NIB. The conidition of the box was shipped exactlly as it was recieved. I opened the postal box and looked inside then repackaged it at the post office.
But I was not a judge of condition... all I was involved for was to make sure both knives were shipped.
James Nowka "I make your Collection more Valuable!" By using mine....
Thanks James the biggest reason I haven't contacted you regarding this is that you were the go between. You helped facilitate the trade and took time out of your life to help me and Ak. I do appreciate your help.

I like to tie up loose ends and not have things hanging over me. It has been a day and I have not received a response from you. I can only give you another 12 hours and then I will post a thread on knifeforums of your actions.
I urge you to reconsider because it would be very beneficial for your reputation. It takes a long while to build a good reputation, but only a few minutes to malign it.
Please take a bit of time and think about your decision.
