Worst YT reviewer/knife channel ?

you have to filter the information, thats the best way to go, even on the forums.

The most positive and polite people in the knife commmunity i have had the pleasure of talking to have been on Yt and USN . There are some people in this forum who definitely have egos just because they have been around The block. Being a Youtuber my self i cant say that all my vids have been the best but i strive to improve them and am always trying to show the product in best quality i can.

I understand how his personality can grind on people's nerves, but I always make it a point to watch his review before I purchase something online. If I can't hold something in the hand first, I want to watch somebody handle it as much as I can, and the length of his videos helps in that regard.

Keyboard commandos always quick to point out the flaws of others because they feel so self-righteous behind a computer screen. To say that knife reviewers on YouTube lack substance or provide nothing beneficial is so far from the truth. Stating something as ignorant as that only makes any attempt at proving so on a forum like this even more invalid. I understand opinions but collective opinions do not make them facts.

I would respect the opinions of those who criticize Youtubers more if they themselves could provide actually proof that they could post better knife reviews.
 
In my civil and honest opinion, I'd pick the YT-knife community over the forums any day of the week. If I google detailed questions about steel comparisons for example, I'll end up on the forums with pleasure. But as a freedom-loving pro-choice secular atheistic Harm Principle suporter, I'd rather watch some Romney loving BS from Nutnfancy than read threads like these. But that's just my humble opinion.
 
gonna say i dislike smokeeater because he made macaroni and i was pretty damn hungry at the time and haven't had macaroni in a long time, and then cutlerylover because no one mails me cool snacks from overseas :/

regardless if some youtubers are long-winded or what not, it helps pass the time sometimes while on the subway
 
I can't believe Jdavis got bashed like that, He's one of the few reviewers I will actually watch and maube even learn something from, Oh well to each his own , I hate neptuneknives but you know what i do , Instead of watching his videos looking for ways to bash him i avoid his vids at all costs, so if you hate Jdavis so bad, don't watch his videos hell even block him here on the forums so you don't even haft to read one of his posts, problem solved everybody wins.

I understand there are a good deal of poor quality knife videos on youtube, and it's a running joke for people on knife forums to stereotype and berate people on youtube (trust me, it's a two way street, and you are a shining example of the sterotypical asshat forum member), but calling people out by name does nothing but breed negative energy and invite contempt. And of course it's all done behind faceless avatars in typical gestappo forum style. No one here would have the balls to really attach their names to any of this nonsense, let alone say it to anyone's face.

Sure there are channels who suck but hey, i got news for you guys, NO ONE makes you watch them duh.
 
i dont normally comment on these type of threads but, i have to. first off this Four_shore guy who stared this tread is just extremely tasteless and the fact that this is just a thread based on everyones opinions is true, but to make a thread like this and know damn well it will create this type of bashing on the youtube community is wrong and pathetic regardless if they are just ones opinions, these type of opinions need to be kept to your self. If you dont like what one is doing or saying dont watch their channel period some people i cant watch but im not going to go make a thread in the knife community trying to get people on my side to bash them... how immature is that? do you not have some real friends? do you need some sort of acceptance some where cause deep down your a lonely lonely loser?. we all should be embracing all things knives, because we all share a common interest and bond i would think, we should be praising and giving props to our fellow knife community brothas and sistas.. and honestly the guys and chicks who make these vides, i give them more props then us who sit here on a thread behind a computer and type shit. they put them self out there for their actual voice to be heard and to entertain i think that takes more balls then sitting behind a screen criticizing people and punching some keys. its disgusting to even wanna talk bad about some people who only wanna share what they know, which might not be a lot, but none the less it is and could be informative to some people. and i know those guys dont need me to stand up for them cause they are grown men and im sure dont care about what everyone says about them, but honestly its tasteless and pathetic. and im sure some may call this childish and whatever else but where i come from people like you get smacked in their little bitch mouths and if i were one of the guys you were talkin shit about and bashing you would get smacked like a little bitch. i'm not going to bother replying to MM simply for the fact that it's not worth my time at all.

that's when you know your channel is total crap. most people do not need me to list why i'm not a fan of him...

i dont hate jdavis at all (i've already stated). im not a fan of his channel (which is what the thread is about).

plenty of people sling mud at nutn and neptune on a regular basis (rightfully so), but not too many people are defending their channels.

it's too hypocritical...

if you like the channel that i dislike that's perfectly fine.

and for the record, the thread title isn't "let's trash the sensitive YT knife community and hurt their feelings". the intention was for people to make constructive criticism toward channels that they weren't fond of. sure, it swayed a little of topic into an argument but that argument was spent backing the statements made.

the people offended are either major fans of these channels (which is cool) or the personalities themselves.

this isn't a battleground guys. the arguing from me is over because that's not why i started this.

yeah this is becoming a broken record.

I like the fact that people can review all their hobby materials through videos.

Sometimes false information on a product is offered, would a thread labelled somnething like.

Youtube reveiwer information corrections.

Thats the only problem with a small handfull. Tbats the only real thing that makes resear hing a bit harder and a wrong purchase a better one.

Sure a thread like that would only help your community rather than be spammy and ridiculing and not controversial?
