So I bought this knife for several thousand dollars from a well-known semi-custom maker (WH). I've been searching for a knife with quality meteorite scales for over a decade. One or two customs had these years ago, but there were other features that I did not like. So this one came out, and the model they photographed looked perfect. It also has frame/bolsters of fire-blued mosaic Damascus. These materials are expensive.
The knife arrives and on the reverse side (no clip), there is this hole (black speck size of a pinhead) but the scales were stabilized, so the scales - and the hole - are covered by a layer of resin.
My wife said return it as for this much money, the black spot will bother me.
I return it for exchange (100 were made), but head of customer relations said all of their meteorite scales had imperfections being natural material (their model looked perfect). He is holding it for me if I reconsider. Question: would you reject it, or accept it?
