You’ve shared enough of your collection to know, if it doesn’t bring a smile to your face, there’s no need in having it.I find the knife attractive and I would carry it, and use it for very light cutting. But I realize the materials are too ornate for some.
I actually owned a custom by Peter Martin I posted here a couple times and I just couldn’t bring myself to carry it so it had to go.I have a hard time putting a brand new Spyderco in my pocket for the first time. I can only imagine the strength it would take to muster up the courage to pocket something like that!
Do you have more pictures of the knife. Now I’m really curious to see the blade and the rest of itSo I bought this knife for several thousand dollars from a well-known semi-custom maker (WH). I've been searching for a knife with quality meteorite scales for over a decade. One or two customs had these years ago, but there were other features that I did not like. So this one came out, and the model they photographed looked perfect. It also has frame/bolsters of fire-blued mosaic Damascus. These materials are expensive.
The knife arrives and on the reverse side (no clip), there is this hole (black speck size of a pinhead) but the scales were stabilized, so the scales - and the hole - are covered by a layer of resin.
My wife said return it as for this much money, the black spot will bother me.
I return it for exchange (100 were made), but head of customer relations said all of their meteorite scales had imperfections being natural material (their model looked perfect). He is holding it for me if I reconsider. Question: would you reject it, or accept it?

Only problem I really had was I thought I’d “destroy” the blade by sharpening it. And in all honesty it wouldn’t have looked quite right if I had. That is amazing!
I agree I like the knife, I was asking about the handle material itself.I find the knife attractive and I would carry it, and use it for very light cutting. But I realize the materials are too ornate for some.
No, sorry. When it arrived, I only took photo's of the defect to explain my return.Do you have more pictures of the knife. Now I’m really curious to see the blade and the rest of it
It’s funny how you tell yourself at the time of purchase how you WILL carry it and use it. But then reality sets in and you start to think about ruining the value.Only problem I really had was I thought I’d “destroy” the blade by sharpening it. And in all honesty it wouldn’t have looked quite right if I had.
