I am offered a ZT for an emerson CQC-7 on trade. I agree. Other party has good FB

We agree to ship simultaneously. I , hearing nothing from the other party, go to the post office and mail the emerson via USPS Priority mail insured (as we both did)

An hour ago after asking the other party if the zt shipped, he tells me that the 'ZT is all packed up but will not go out until tomorrow or Thursday". No explanation. I ask why it happened, still not explanation. I ask for a phone # to discuss.. no response.

Here is the kicker.... He was on all day and actually sold a CQC-7 ......when I mention this, he says that it is not my knife he sold...he "has other emersons"


I am really uncomfortable, especially with the lack of communication ... What say you?

I say way to overreact and jump to conclusions. If anyone looks at your past posts they will see you love drama. Deal has been cancelled the package you say you sent even tho I have yet to see a tracking number will be promptly returned to sender. This whole thing is less than 24hrs old and you're trying to make a public deal about it. I would discourage anyone from dealing with this guy. I know I certainly won't after this.
 
He cancelled it. I told him I can ship the zt tomorrow and apologized for not getting it out today but that wasn't good enough.
 
I would recommend you place a disclaimer in your advertisements. Something like "if you can't ship in within 24 hours or answer multiple e-mails within a few hours then don't trade with me".

No, you are responsible for your actions. YOU cancelled it. He is not the one who failed to send his end of the deal as agreed.
IMHO, you owe him the shipping charges spent if you don't follow thru.

Then you refuse to communicate to explain why. He is not the one people should not do business with.

Why could you not let me know that the knife was gonna be delayed for 2 days? No email? I had to email him and I only did it because he "Happened" to sell the exact same knife I was sending him.


All I did was what I said I was gonna do.. If that makes me a guy to not trade with so be it...


I wil lnow have to pay more than the shipping to intercept and return the parcel, I guess I am a terrible guy

Corey claims that he has a death in the family ....I am willing to cut slack until I realize he has been on the SF all day , yet does not communicate at all until I send several emails....

He is also less than truthful about not getting tracking, as though that means it is ok to not ship his knife..
 
Maybe you guys should figure out the rest of the details by PM. Nobody looks like a bad guy here...yet.
 
Is a thread like this really necessary only a day or two after a trade agreement was made? I've had multiple people ship me their end a day or two after the agreed upon time. Sometimes life happens and there's not a whole lot we can do about it. This issue should be resolved privately. No need to make both parties look bad.

I hear you , this was not my first rodeo. I have done the same , many times. There was too much here, selling the knife I was selling, no communications, not explanation...

Again, I asked the forum if anyone would feel the same? The other gentleman personalized the issue.

My personal problems are just that MY personal problems so leave that out of this.

I'm not here to make excuses or go back and forth with you. I didn't ship today and that's my fault. You can't wait until tomorrow for me me to ship the zt and that's fine. You'll get your knife back and i'll pay your shipping costs since it was my fault my knife didnt ship today and you couldnt wait one more day. Creating this thread and freaking out wasnt and isnt necessary.
 
It's been a few years since I've lived in NY but both of you have listed locations that are within a frisbee toss of each other. Unless you are both lawyers in trial cases all day long, hop the subway and swap knives and save the rest of us the soap opera already.
