My personal problems are just that MY personal problems so leave that out of this.

I'm not here to make excuses or go back and forth with you. I didn't ship today and that's my fault. You can't wait until tomorrow for me me to ship the zt and that's fine. You'll get your knife back and i'll pay your shipping costs since it was my fault my knife didnt ship today and you couldnt wait one more day. Creating this thread and freaking out wasnt and isnt necessary.

Just wanted to quote this in case anyone missed it.
The guy manned up, took responsibility, and said that he would reimburse pwerfel for the shipping charges, so why don't we give him that opportunity instead of keep hammering him?

I am no expert but here is my 2 cents . If you can`t ship on the day you said it should be a priority to let the other guy know ASAP . I really hope someone didn`t sell a knife they don`t have in hand ; what happens if the trade needed to be reversed and you don`t have the knife to send back?? I would say that picture of the "Packed and ready. " knife was a silly last moment effort to quell the issue. That clearly isn`t acceptable packaging for a new in box knife ,I shouldn`t have to spell it out for "knife people" the box means something and adds to the value. Life can get in the way of our collecting and shipping but let the other guy know before he has to ask and things can go much more smoothly.

I wish we could use disagreements like this as learning experiences, instead of expressions of enmity. We have no reason to think either of these gentlemen set out to scam anyone, but the result will be bad feelings between them, and among bystanders "choosing sides".

Can't we find a way to hit "reset" and go back to completing a good deal, without bitterness, without recriminations?

Best post of the thread, IMHO. People are SO damn fast to jump on either one bandwagon or another and usually in an unkind way. This thread was made public WAY too soon.

How would you feel about the situation if the person involved in your transaction did not do as he agreed to do in the first place and then refused to communicate with you?

Also, a padded envelope is a cheapskate way to ship and poor practice where the box for an item may be collectible or add value to the piece.

I, personally, would feel ok (not "good") about it because little time had gone by and because I realize, after many experiences, that most people are absolutely TERRIBLE at communicating at least some of the time. I would have waited longer and only used moderators, if they were willing, to help with contact and response. I would have authored a thread like this at least a day later.

The padded envelope part is what would have concerned me most. As others have said, horrible way to send such an item.

Folks,

Comeandtakeit has refunded my postage and intercept fees and the knife is hopefully on its way back to me. Thanks to the moderators and all for their input.
