I won't be there this year but my good friend, the guy who taught me most of what I know about knifemaking and the industry, Wally Hayes will be there. If you see him, let him know how much I talk him up n stuff. Brown nosing goes a long way in scamming free lessons! :p:thumbup:

This is why you never let Cuban's use your knives.

TF

I'm ok with it, as long as they make me a good Cuban sammich. ;)

Maybe today?

Sorry bro, I work weekends. We need to all be together to make the post.

I want to get this done more than anyone. I am not happy that it has taken this long, and I really thought the results would have been posted last week.

Marcelo and Big Mike, can you guys clear this Thursday? It's about the only day I am free. If not, I can try to switch my days off, I really don't want this to go another week.

Great to see the reviews starting to go up now! Great job on the Gossman review so far guys! Also smart that the thread is locked. Would it be useful to start a thread (perhaps placed in the Outdoor Gear section) for folks to comment on the reviews as they come in? Just a thought.

So far the 3 opinions show divergence in what folks were looking for in a bushy knife and I think this makes for a really nice set of contrasts compared to the other reviews. Keep up the great work!

It's taking some time cause Marcelo and I are at different locations. He has all of mike's reviews and is going to post them. But for me he has to call me, then unlock it, I post, then he locks it again. What a PIA... :D

Feel free to start a discussion thread in the mean time, I don't see us finishing today. I am at work, and we are playing phone tag right now...

Once we have all the reviews posted, we will post the scores of each knife and open the thread for discussion.

It's March so I'll put in my idea for the next challenge:

Break it up in to four knife regionals, win or go home.

We can even make up brackets and do a pool. Maybe winning knife maker gets the cash and the winning bracket gets the knife.

I just think it might speed up the process, give a more consistent result and the pool could be fun too.

I have no problems with the time involved in this challenge. It's exactly perfect. These were done as bushcraft knives, with a winter season as a known event going in for testing period.

Lots of knives, multiple reviewers, all good.

I think it's been fantastic and have no issues, again, with the time.

If I were going to ask myself what I'd want to do for a next challenge, I'd either go with a small EDC, a midrange "do everything chopper" in the 8-12 inch range, a dedicated game knife, or go out of the WSS arena and do EDC self defense carry. (yeah, I'd love to put the sgian dubh design into a real test!)

As far as the time it has taken to do the review, no problem from this quarter. Following this thread has provided a pleasant diversion over the course of a long winter. To all the guys who took the time to do the testing and reviews, and all my fellow makers who submitted their knives, a big thanks!

Oooh oooh, I don't want to be the tester, but I can offer you up some people to test on!!!

:D

No seriously:thumbup:

Whooh Hoo! its party time! Glad this is finally coming to a close...great stuff so far, and overall. A great challenge IMO.
If we do another challenge.
It should be the "ONE KNIFE" challenge...6" - 9" blade length. Do it all designs. That would ROCK!!!!!

Since we are done posting reviews for the night, I will share this video with you guys. If you aren't sleeping yet, I bet you'll be snoring by the the time this video is over.

Here's 26 minutes of nothing but me rambling... The scary part is, this is only part 1 !!!
