WTT. Flying Skull Dagger.

well, generally people who post this type of 'novelty' item are poked and prodded until they go away.

no sarcasm intended, but i hope you stick around. i actually just hovered for a while before i started posting. gave me a good gauge of what the forums and the members were like.

It takes a while to get used to the way things are run here. "Mall Ninja" knives, and fantasy pieces are generally looked down upon due to their bad reputation and the assosciation that they have with morons and their 1337 nifz.

You posted a cheap fantasy knife for trade on a forum that frowns very heavily upon such knives, thus giving you a bad assosciation. You seem to be a mature guy though, so if you stick around, find yourself some nice knives, and join the community as a productive member, this should blow over in with a bit of time.

Good luck with the forums! :)

I`m quite knowlegeable about bayonets and I think that a bayonet of an equal value doesn`t exist...

On the contrary, there's several

Yugo M98
AKM-47
US M7
Sig 57
7.62x39 SKS
No 4 MKII
Enfield Spike
Spanish Cetme
FR7/FR8
FN FAL
FN 57
Turkish ASFA

There's more, but won't elaborate further.
I won't go into detail how condition factor can come into play here making that list much larger.

(dude, you are shooting yourself in the foot, and missing their point. Just a neutral observation.)

Well, I didn't know what kind of place this was when I posted it, lol..

I didn't know the forum was restricted to folding & fixed blades of immense rarity, lol

anyway, no big deal.. Just that I have no interest in pieces like this & wanted to get rid of it so figured a place such as this size there would be chance someone would be interested.

I was a total novice a month ago, and have now expanded my collection to Ranger, Rats, Scrapyard (Dogfather on the way!) and will be getting a Busse as soon as I have the funds. Anyways, there's a lot of great people on here - I'd sell that stuff on Ebay as mentioned earlier.

I'm not a collector of knives really, however, I do collect bayonets, military swords, court swords, fraternal swords, and Japanese swords, as well as antique firearms. & no, I'm not referring to "mall ninja garbage"... The mall ninja garbage is leftovers from wholesale lots I purchased for resale. I made more money selling that garbage than a case of WILLIAM HENRY T10 took years to sell.

The bayonets you mentioned are in the 10-25$ range, the knife is 99cents if you are lucky.

You couldn't even buy the blade alone at wholesale for 99cents, lol.

I sold these retail offline for $36 each, lol.
I've had & sold other pieces with skull motifs for far more than this piece, some for well over $200. :p

There is a market for this crap, just didn't know that this was a purists forum for only case, sheffield, boker, etc..

So scuse the fxxx if I thought this was a general blades forum & not restricted to particular kinds of knives.

While I may be getting crap from you here, I sold 10 of these on another forum :p :p :p :p

Yeah, well I did not know much about this forum when I posted this, looked like a general non descript forum about blades in general & what on earth is 1337 nifz????

If you sold this for more than 10$,you are a marketing genius, seriously. If you gave this knife to me for free,I wouldn`t take it and I`m anythingsharp:)If you wanna trade bayonets, contact me.I used to be a bayo collector.I have a Chassepot 1866 in excellent condition and 2 paratrooper short SKS spikes.I`m looking for a Norwegian Krag bayo and a Carcano cruciform spike.

SKS spikes are worthless & I can get a dozen for $10, but don't need them. They're everywhere. Even the SKS rifles themselves are everywhere & you can even buy the gun for $50 to $75 if you know where to look.
I have an 1866 Chassepot but definitely wouldn't trade a Norwegian Krag for another one. Norwegian Krag can fetch over $200 whereas chassepot are more commonly found & can be bought for $80 to $100, sometimes far less if the seller don't know better. Anyway, I don't trade my bayonets, nor sell them, but I definitely buy them. I scan ebay daily for new listings & there's a Norwegian Krag Bayo listing item # 330085228254 but it should pass $200 very soon.

As far as your quip about marketing genius, lol.. very far from it.. Just that there's some people out there that like that crap & I had no idea about it on this forum & whatever..... anyway, I only have one of these left so will be sure to not ever post mall ninja crap on this forum ever again, even though I see alot of it posted here ..

If you have frogs, I need frogs for M1866, M1874, T30, K98 and M1935

Oh, & the Carcano will take some diggin. I'm not really much into the italian stuff & have only come across the M1891

Hey folks, before the mods shut this down, please remember that sale and trade posts are not discussion forums. If you don't like the wares offered, keep it to yourself, and move on.

Again I must say- Antiqueweapons.com has handled himself quite well despite some of the sharper pokes. Hey he put a knife up for sale - you do not like it - let it ride....I do not think much of the mass produced , "limited edition", "pre-production" blades that are fetching some insane $ out there (take about marketing hype!) But others do... Most of us ARE just here for the fun of it anyway....

So let it ride and a say Welcome to Antiqueweapons.org. Lets not let the "knife snobbiery" get in the way of a good time.

Peace out!
