I do 20-30 packages a week with priority mail. If it has not arrived after 3 days you can do a trace. You can only do a trace if they put a delivery confirmation on a package. That costs 55 cents. Only a fool would ship USPS without a delivery confirmation, otherwise there is no record of their shipment.

They owe you another knife. Peter
 
This is one of the replies I got in regards to my order:

"Your package was mailed, as stated before. Sometimes things are slow, sometimes they go missing. It is a regular, routine part of business these days." (in other words "who cares? I have your $$$)

Then I was told it was being investigated, when I asked for a tracking # I was told there was none. So my question is how do you investigate it?
Without a tracking #?

I usually dont complain about things like this. Im on a ton of boards and do alot of transactions but the general lack of customer service and outright misinformation and BS has irked me to know end. I have documentation to back up everything Ive said.

On 3/29/04 No refund, I inquired again. You told me you took care of it personally that day. you stated you didnt know what happened.
On 4/8/04 Still no refund, threats of notifying the Tenn. Attorney General and Voila! refund happened! MY ORDER WAS PLACED IN FEBRUARY.

If you cant handle the workload take a hiatus. Everyone understands about family issues and a new Baby is a boatload, no one is denying that, But be a man and admit you screwed up and improve on it. Dont play it off like you did nothing wrong.
Everyone makes mistakes but you were just plain negligent.

I dont want to have a pissing match here and waste this boards bandwith I said my peace if you want to continue this you have my E mail.

This issue has been resolved! Actually it was resolved a couple days ago.
John followed through and issued a refund.

I have only had one transaction with Cumberland knives, an auction on ebay. Emails were answered quickly and the knife was shipped promptly after receiving my payment. I couldn't have asked for a smoother deal and I would trade with them again. Larry
