Wy the Bk17 is not that popular as the well known bk16

I am looking to buy a 17. It looks more like a traditional "deer hunter" shape... I can try it for deer and see how I like it.
 
Ordered a 17 just the other day all because of this thread. I love the clip point.
 
Personally I've always thought the 17 is a sleeper that sells fairly well but isn't talked about. It's a full tang alternative to a short kabar and I've always suspected that is often bought by the folk who aren't necessarily knife people. But I could be way off in this assumption

MPOV I don't really think that's the case here ,imho this is a well love little knife, for the people that appreciate that classic bowie looks, regards !!!

Got mine today, actually got the 17 and 15 today. Love the 17 my favorite behind the 7 so far.

Micarta scales coming from Tomars next week.
