nah, no knock knock knock at all! it is stuck with customs!
From what I'e heard and read it's gonna be stuck for a couple of weeks! Belgian customs are a joke! Eitherway, I study law so it's always fun to put the theory to the test! been checking out the law and I have the right to be there when they investigate the package. Unfortunately I have exams until 29th of january :(!
this knife 'd better be worth it!

that sucks. thankfully customs over here hasn't given me any issues yet. Hope you can get yours sooner than later, it's definitely worth the wait
 
Well, that`s bad. I kind of saw that coming though - out of my own experience with USPS Express & german customs.

Advice : try out UPS next time-I think that if you had went with them, you probably could have avoided the hassle&delay. Over here UPS takes care of the custom`s declaration, and yet still deliver`s on time. They might be a bit more expensive, but for me it is worth it. I hate dealing with the customs office!

2 months at customs? That is strange. I have it up to one week there. You have to know your country regulations about knives, if are legal there is no reason for hold it.
Btw. you should awaiting this - every EMS package is checked by customs...

Is there a thread in the General section on the topic of Shipping to and from USA into / out of other countries?

If not, maybe that would be a place to share stories, tips and tricks.
 
got message from customs today :)
they released the package and will be delivered in the coming days!
I am however a bit scared by how much they will charge me...
could be anywhere from 10-300€ from what I've heard...
The knife is legal in belgium, but the shipper did not add the bill, so they stopped it. I had to send them the payment info.
akubra, I know, I prefer using private firms such as ups, dpd or fedex. The thing is that for some reason fedex did not ship it (wich is quite strange since fedex has shipped auto's to me in the past)
