I came on this site with the intent of buying A knife .. just one .. all I wanted was some good advice ............. next thing you know I'm ordering gear bags, ferro rods , more knives along with other miscellaneous survival / camping gear. Now I'm looking into a hammock / tarp. I think I'm hooked

Where does it end ??????

You guys REALLY suck ! ;)

It doesn't end, and at least you have lived up to your name:thumbup::D

I agree.

It doesn't just end with wilderness and survival stuff either. Thanks to these forums, which I first visited to buy an HI khuk, I now have several more knives and gear bags too; as well as flashlights, fountain pens, guns, cigars, etc...

Let me know when you find the end.

Hello, my name is Steve and I am an addict.

I used to have a good job, 401K and a healthy savings account. Now I am looking for a knife makers and outdoor gear retailors that accecpt food stamps as payment. I think my addiction has gotten way out of hand any I need some help. I can't beleive that my wife has not left me or my children have dissowned me at this point in my addiction. I don't think I can stop, I need help in a bad way.

How is it that so many threads have turned into "Bash the Moderator" recently? :D

Must.....not....hit....infraction....button!!! :D

i suggest a hennessy hammock and a lightweight sleeping mat, combo with a good sleeping bag :D

I suggest and heartily reccommend the clark noth american jungle hammock. Made in the USA and more versatile than most. as to tarps I use the Integral Designs siltarp 2 and their sil-poncho. The Clark jungle hammocks come with a rainfly/tarp.

Tony beat me to it, but your name was really more than you thought. This place is the worst for causing your wallet to just jump right out of your pants! Luckily it also makes your feet just sprint to find the nearest trail-head.

I'd like to give you consolation, but it'd be a lie. It only gets worse from here.

Well, if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money stay away from the Himalayan Imports forum (oops :D ). I think I bought about a grand worth of blades from there in my first month.

Whatever you do, don't visit the Busse forum!!! I did and all of a sudden I was $2,000 poorer. RESIST THE TEMPTATION!!!!

Yup, I agree. I am constantly scouring the forum for review, then making little lists of things I WANT but don't need. Like the above poster mentioned, at least it is a healthy addiction.
It is a bit odd though when I open my desk drawer, to see 4 knives laying there, and one resting on top of the computer tower, and one in my pocket, and one over there...
