Y'all carry more than one knife?

I carry a case 6347 in right front pocket - in fact it's worn holes in 5 pair of jeans now.

I also carry a Benchmade 745 Mini Dejavoo in my back pocket, which is anything but mini - it's a locking folder.

I use the Case for almost everything. I only carry the BM for rough stuff... hacking down small trees, breaking bones, digging holes, or wet/muddy/nasty cutting.

I started toting the second knife after I spent the night in the swamp because I left my compass and big knife in the truck and set out after 2 coon dogs. I had to whittle a sapling down for a walking stick with my Case stockman, and that took a while. Killed 4 cottonmouths with the walking stick.

I usually carry two, a slippie and a one-hand something or other. My only regret some days is having too many to choose from. Whatever ends up in my pocket, I am surrounded everywhere I go... there are a few in the car (including my trusty Condor Machete), a few in my 'man bag', several 'desk knives' at work... but I usually end up using the slippie more than any of the rest. For the past two years I've favored a Hen and Rooster congress, great little knife.

I usually carry one locking folder clipped in my right pocket from my EDC rotation. I also carry 2 mini slipjoints, one Victorinox which has scissors, tweezers, toothpick, nail file and a small blade. The other one is on my keychain and has a bottle opener, screwdriver, small cutting blade, and a nail file. I carry the slipjoints mainly for the tools, not the cutting blades. If I need to cut something, I will use the locking folder.

My EDC is a Case Yeller trapper. Sometimes it is paired with a Becker Necker or a CRKT Zilla Tool.

Hmm... lets see..(this will probably ramble on some...)

For a long time i was a fiwed blade carrier, then got into slips and carried both, one of each, then got tired of carrying a unused fixed blade and went to traditional folders altogether. For a while it was 1 knife carry; the favorite of the times, or at times a rotation, changed weekly or so. Then it was the peanut, and a bigger companion for rough work, then I discovered what the nut can do, and it was 1 knife only, the peanut, for several months...

But in that entire time there was always a leatherman wave, and then since its loss, a vic spirit on me. I almost Never(a 99.99% never) use the blade on the multi tool, so for true knives i was a one or two knife carry.

((Some guys say, "if I have pants, I have a knife". Well, I never leave the house without three things, in order of importance, flashlight, multi-tool, and knife. Then comes pants. Then anything else. The only reason the multi comes before the knife is that it does have a blade that could be used if I absolutely had to and its other tools are almost daily use... But I always make damn sure to have the knife because its a better cutter than the multi.))

These days, the last couple months, I've gone back to two knives, and the multi. But as I said, I really don't count the multi as a knife, its other required gear. The two have been the ever present peanut. Always the peanut. Then a companion to it, maybe something I am testing, or an old friend or favorite... Lately its been a Colt congress, because i was testing, and its then become a favorite, and the one I use 75% of the time, even upstaging the 'nut.

I've been wanting to go back to one knife carry, but can't seem to put away the congress for now, and know I can't put the 'nut away in favor of another... so here I am at two for a while.

For most of my life, I carried a single knife, usually the form of a locking one-handed opener. Then I added in a SAK to get assorted useful tools, and later started carrying a small traditional slipjoint too to use around people who freak out at a 3 inch+ blade (And to fondle like a worry stone), and recently have been toting a small fixed blade in a jacket pocket too....

It's amazing how quickly you grow used to having a knife in every pocket. Today, though, I forced myself to only carry one (A GEC furtaker trapper). I felt naked, but somehow survived.

I'd be embarrassed to list the knives in my pockets right now. I had dropped to three, a yeller-handled Case CV trapper, an old Camco TL-29, and the ever present SAK classic on the keyring. However, last week I got the itch, and now have a carbon-steel slipjoint in every pocket. :o
It's a sickness, I tell you!

I am a 3 knife guy. On most days it's a one-hander, a Victorinox Soldier or Farmer, and the slipjoint of the day. All are subject to change on a whim.

One knife would easily meet me needs. I carry more because I love knives.

Ditto. Me to a T.

I think we all have been guilty of doing that. One time I went to the doctors and of course they weighed me. As I was waiting for the doctor I tried to figure how much all the knives in my pocket weighed. When I got home I weighed them. 1 1/2 pounds of knives. I thought of telling the doctor so he could correct it. But I was afraid he would commit me. LOL

Normally all I carry is a Case Peanut. If I'm in the woods (hiking hunting fishing camping) I take a Buck Cadet, and a Vic Pioneer. I just swap out my p-38 and 4 way screwdriver.

Hi texasflyfisher -

I ALWAYS have my VIC Waiter in my left front, and have recently had my new Acies in the right front -

Once in a while I'll throw a spyderco bug in my change pocket as a "fidget toy" while at my desk.

best regards -

at the moment I have a buck 110 in the belt sheath and a sak climber in my pocket. usually Ill pare a larger knife locking folder with a sak.

I have begun to carry only one blade on me and it's a leatherman skeletool. I was carring at least three on me.(a yellow case peanut, a spyderco delica, and a leatherman wave. Boy are my pockets lighter) I've learned I can get buy with the skeletool.

Allways a Leatherman Charge in a sheath on my belt (except for dressup occasions) and a peanut, swayback jack or barlow in my right front pocket, when working in the office. When in the field, the leatherman and a one hand knife, usually a Benchmade mini griptilian or a Benchmade mini stryker. For dressup a small William Henry in a pocket purse.

Depending on how you count it, I either carry 2 or 3. Here is today's baggage:

On weekdays, I usually have a larger lockblade, a small (<3") slipjoint, and if you count it, the ever-present Leatherman Micro.

Weekends are usually single blade days - either a locklblade tactical or larger slipjoint like a Buck 301.
