I'm happy to hear that about SOE. John and Amanda are great people. A few times this weekend I felt like I was working for them. I sent a lot of folks back that way, but only because they're worth it. I've had one of their belts and a few other pieces of gear since about 02/03. Their stuff is absolutely worth betting your life on.
 
So, I left Atlanta and typed into the GPS the address for home. Driving along following the GPS and it tells me to exit the highway... Figuring there was probably an accident up ahead or something I go ahead and follow the directions. I keep driving, and driving and driving and then I saw the sign... THE sign to end all signs. The one that made me think SOMEONE hacked my GPS.

I'm pretty pumped. I've been wanting one for a while and finally found a like new one for $140.

Ive never handled a 550, but was part of a 561 pass around. If they are both built the same, you will love it. The 561 is awesome, but was just a bit bigger than I like.
 
At the podiatrist to see how my foot has been healing. Hoping maybe I get the ok to do some light hiking. Probably not, but a dude can dream.

Raining this morning too. Great sign when I have to be at the doctors office.
 
So yesterday I got to my destination post office with a semi loadbod mail and went inside. Its a controlled access building with access codes to get inside, just like all the processing areas of post offices are. I have the code, so I went in like normal. The place was a ghost town. I did my normal thing and got the trailer open and ready to unload and still noone. Used the rest room and wandered around looking for someone for a bit and still none. I figured they were having a meeting or something, so I just hung out for 25 minutes.

When someone finally came out to the dock I found out they were doing a containment/biohazard drill!! If it had been real I would have walked right into a post office filled with friggen anthrax or something. I can't believe that the building wasn't on complete lockdown.
