Watched 13 Assassins during lunch today.. :eek: Makes Kill Bill look like Kung Fu Panda. Very entertaining..

I have Raid Redemption saved on my computer and watch it every now and then.. awesome movie! I need to check out Raid 2 though.. have to look for it.
I watched Equilibrium the other day too, that was another great kick ass movie.
 
Raid 2 makes the first one look pretty tame, honestly. I don't mind some hardcore action, but that was HARDCORE. Like, I felt a little queasy at times hardcore. Not for people who are turned off by watching a human body get systematically destroyed. Gives you a whole new appreciation for things like hammers, baseball bats, and karambits, among other things.
 
We LOVED the Raid movies, but I thought they were a bit of a different genre - more like action-porn. No substantial dialogue or character development, just money (action) shots.

LOL! Well, it did sorta feel like how an action film would be made if it was written and filmed by folks in the adult movie industry; many simple setups for big payoffs.

We loved it!
 
So I was looking around for some micarta scales for the the ZT 0550 andddd the average price was 65+.
I'm thinking about making my own with Card stock with some neat colors.
Am thinking of light green, dark blue, and light blue alternating in layers.
If it turns out good I'll make some for the Beckers possibly lol.
that'd be really sweet.

If you are wanting to make your own but don't necessarily want to make your own micarta there are places online where you can order the micarta and shape it yourself... for a VERY reasonable amount of money.

I have literally 15+ 100 color multi pack cardstock due to my baby brothers that I have access too.
I would only have to pay for the epoxy and wood for the sammiching.
Have dremels clamps, sandpaper, drill, different bits, and a will to create!

I now must seek out this movie and watch it!

I like simple setups for big payoffs and I love Asian films.

I used to watch so many Chinese / Japanese movies when I was a teenager at one time I was almost fluent in Japanese. In my early 20's I was out at a bar drinking with some of my co-workers. I was extreamly intoxicated and didn't realize it until a buddy of mine pointed out that I was talking to an Asian girl in Japanese.
 
scuff all the card stock with 120 grit.
coat one sheet with a thin layer of epoxy, lay the next sheet on top & squeeze out the air bubbles - just like you would with a cell phone screen protector, repeat.

Well I know how to make it per say, I mean the actual forming and such for the ZT 0550.
It'll be fun to say the least lol.
 
trace the original scale, trim to size with a dremel or by hand with some fine woodworking files, sand and polish?
