Those scales look sick.

So, my brother decided he was going to sharpen his BK-14 on his belt grinder... Harbor Freight belt grinder, 80 grit sand paper... Turned the front of it into a flat head screw driver. So, Wednesday when I was driving through Springfield I stopped and got the 14, and I also took the grinder from him... and yelled at him.

This is after I fixed it:

I brought the point down to the bottom of the "tip" he made. To show you how bad it really was, here's overlaid on a 24:

Jonny, how dare you take advantage of those poor, innocent brats that you got drunk.

Oh I took advantage of them alright!
They would have made a Wisconsinite say "Oh my dayum!"
I also took advantage of the left over bacon from this morning and put it on a spinach salad.
I wish I could have shared these brats with you all. My oh my, they were my best yet!

Geez, I was eyeballing one of those at a store just last week. Have been going back and forth on whether or not to go back and pick it up...

I hear ya. I like different ways of making fire. The ESEE is my second striker. This is my first:

That's a cool kit. What's the little gold piece for? Looks like a mini hatchet head?

Ok that's it. The ESEE fire striker will be mine!

So, not sure how everyone else spends their late Saturday evening, but personally I spent the last few hours sharpening knives. So relaxing!
