Those look like some badass swords. I'm going to have to watch that again when I get home so I can actually see what's going on.

Happy Birthday ac. I remember back in the day when I was a young whipper snapper of 33, haha.

Thanks Dubz. Ive decided that my goal for the next year will to get off my are and do more. I used to be pretty active, but not so much over the last years.

You're welcome. I hear ya man, I used to go do stuff all the time. Still do on occasion, but not like it used to be. We were gonna go for a small hike today, but it was gonna be a muddy mo fo, so we didn't.

That ill talk about online???

I have been in about 10 car accidents without ever getting a scratch..... One time my brother was driving us home from work one night, i think i was about 15, he was doing 100mph on a dirt road with real soft sandy shoulders, hit the shoulder and over corrected... we went into a tree and then rolled a few times. I was sitting in the passenger seat with shorts and a tank top on, no seatbelt, i was thrown to the back and the roof on my side was pushed into the floor, braking the seat... If i had my seatbelt on id have been crushed. All the windows broke out, my brother had scratches all over and huge bruises... I didnt have a single small cut, nothing.

Another time i was driving a long road going around 100 when a deer came out in the road, I swerved and started flipping over and over into a ditch... I had to turn my body and kick the roof over and over to bend it up enough to get out... My cellphone was broke in the crash and once i got out the car no one showed up for 45 minutes. It was a quiet road, i never drove real fast on roads with a lot of traffic. But had i been hurt AT ALL, i would of bled to death for sure...

I got more car accident stories, but they get redundant. I had my license suspended 2 times before i joined the army. And another time in texas before i got injured. Its almost like karma caught up to me when i finally was injured and made sure i couldnt drive a car anymore. I do miss driving though, it was my escape. I could drive all day with no where to go and did it all the time.

I got a few stories that arent car accidents... But i dont want to posts those online...

I think my closest call was about 4 years ago when I had been out hunting all morning and decided to head into town for lunch. I got on the highway headed east and set my cruise a 65. The road was a 4 lane divided highway and I was in the right lane. As I came up on a house on the south side an old Chevy pickup was coming down the driveway. As I got closer it was slowing down like it was going to stop and wait to cross, but it only stopped for a second and started going again. By that time I was pretty much to the driveway and it just kept pulling out. I don't know how I managed it, but I hit the brakes and managed to get around him/her. I jerked the wheel hard enough that I'm amazed I didn't roll. It seemed like it took an eternity to get moved over and past the pickup. The whole time I was bracing myself for when it hit me and sent me spinning/rolling, but it never happened. As I went by my drivers side tires were damn near in the median. After I got straightened out again I headed home and stayed there for the rest of the day.

WW, those were definitely some close calls. Its totally understandable that there would be some stories you would rather not post online.

Another time I was in the truck headed north on interstate 29 in some crazy wind and pouring down rain at like 2am. The rain was going sideways from left to right and all of a sudden the truck leaned the other way and the rain changed to from right to left. I about crapped my pants and didn't know what the hell to do, so I just kept driving. Somewhere between a 1/4 and 1/2 mile later it switched back to left to right. The only thing that it could have been was I drove right past a tornado or beside/under one that was starting to form.

Thats wild, I have never seen or been around any tornadoes, And id love to keep it that way LOL

I've seen a handful of them. Luckily, none of them lasted very long or got big enough to do any damage other than messing up a bit of a farmers crop.

Another night I was headed north on i29 again and watching a crazy lightning storm off to the west of me. I started to notice a cloud getting lower and lower everytime the lightning would flash. It eventually formed a full tornado, but I got to far north and lost sight of it. I switched from listening to Sirius radio to a local station and the weather service had taken over the channel and was telling everyone in that area to take shelter because of it.

That's a psuedo familiar look to me.
Almost looks like you have some push talk comm setup there, that or a video switch with those front blade buttons.

Yep, we've got RTS intercoms, HD/SD video routing, satellite internet (big outgoing pipe), rack of sonar equipment (mostly dark), and other stuff. The second row of racks has workstations, servers, and networking fabric. And that's just downstairs...

I'd love to show you my racks but I can't even have a phone let alone most electronic watches where I work :P.

It's funny how us COMM guys can pick out setups like that.

Got into Punta Gorda Florida this morning. Just woke up. In the words of the great Gutsy himself. "Time to dominate the land!"

Oh boy Florida, can't stand that far south, that humidity killed me.
Especially in Mississippi.

Head to Pine Island, find water and fish!
Used to live about 20 minutes south of Punta Gorda in Fort Myers. Humidity ain't bad when your wading chest deep with a fishing pole.
Congrats on the show Todd now get to relaxing!

That humidity is nothing surprisingly compared to here in the Ohio river valley. Of course I haven't been to Florida in a few years but my father's family is from there so we used to frequent there quite a bit.

Being a New Yorker where we just have a LOT of precipitation all year round with little humidty even 50% sucks to us.
Went down to Mississippi and I felt what 92 degrees F felt like with 95% humidity.
I thought I was swimming in the air.

Does anyone remember the kind of hatchet Dresnor was having troubles with? I'm ordering myself some stuff for my bday gift to myself and was thinking of adding the Condor Scout Hatchet to my cart.

The Axe I had QC issues with was the Wetterlings Bushman Axe from campsaver.com.
