Yeller handles.

I really like this pattern. It makes a nice back pocket knife. With my yellow soddie jr. in the left front pocket, and this one in the right rear, just call me mellow yellow...quite rightly. :)

Mine should be here this week. I ordered one in yellow and one in brown delrin. Can't wait.

.. I think the handles were white. But have no idea of composition. One side is darker than other due to being exposed to the light. Wish I knew more. Jim

This very same situation occurred with my Uncle's Randall made fixed blade in the 1950's. She started out as a cream colored Micarta(the early stuff) and turned nearly the same color on the exposed side in the sheath. Same as your knife handle Jim.

Nice variety of yellow handles! S-K, that Schrade is in excellent shape. Here are a few more for the pot:

Can anyone tell me the name of the Keen Kutter pattern? I sho nuff likes that one...it's purtier than the full moon rising over the 'shine still at night...

never mind...found it...it is called a fish jack. here is a great little guide for Keen Kutters or as I remember them being called when I was young Klan Knives (due to the use of "K"s)

Sunnyd and Absintheur, yes, it's a fish jack, 3 1/2" with 1 spear (at least it was) and 1 pen blade. This poor guy's been beat up pretty bad, but it's a very rare pattern, so I'm happy with what I got :) . These were available as follows:
Ebony handle - 1905 -1909
White bone handle - 1905 - 1920
Stag handle - 1905 - 1926
White cell (the above knife) - 1915 - 1920

Well, heck.

Who would want yeller handles? Or a sodbuster for that matter?

I mean, really.

Oh, you mean those yeller handles . . .

:D

I have a yellow bone Moore Maker, but when someone says yellow handles I usually think of things like these:

I guess those Eye Brand knives are gelber handled. ;)

Thanks Eric,

A Fish Jack pattern!. Wow, very cool. That is one pattern I have never heard of until today. Thanks very kindly for all that information. Now I want to learn more about this very interesting knife.

Hi ElCuchillo,

Its a Case XX 5 dot (1975) 33044 pattern. This little bolster-less Stockman pattern is known as the Birdseye Stockman. So called because of the large pivot pins on the knife resemble the eye of a bird.

Got my yellow slimline trapper. Carried it today after modifying it yesterday. I think I like it better than my yellow sodbuster.
