Here are a few yellow knives

Y'all are gonna be sorry if I get serious and dig out my yellow fish knives. I take lousy pics. I've looked through all 12 pages of this thread and I think one of mine is most similar to the one in the very center of this pick.

The other one I think is a little larger and let me attest to their edge taking capabilities. When I was about 10 or 12 I was tasked with cutting up last year's corn stalks so that my father could till them into the garden. We had an old garden knife with a cork handle that he intended me to use and to use it by placing the cornstalk on top of a piece of wood and cutting down that way (in a safe manner).

Well, I knew where the carborundum stones were and I knew how to sharpen a knife and I loved to sharpen knives. I prepared myself for my task by sharpening both knives to a razor's edge, figutatively speaking. After cutting a few stalks the correct way I decided it would be quicker if I used the knives like a machete and held the stalk in my hand. The garden knife didn't work as well cutting this way so I switched to the fish knife. Boy did it work well! Until I got too close to the end of a stalk that I was holding in my right hand, with my thumb out along the stalk to give it more stability.

Yep, I sliced a chunk off the end of my thumb. The non-skin portion of the wound was about a 1/4" diameter. Didn't bleed much or hurt too bad - until it was time to clean it up and bandage it.

Gee, couldn't figure out why Mom took away all my knives for a while.

There's a lot of Peanuts in this thread...

If there's an alternative to the Yeller Peanut this has to be it, the Case Baby Butterbean.

Just took a picture of my 3 yellow CV Case. 1979 pen knife with bail, more recent pen knife, and 1980 medium stockman. There are a lot of nice ones in this thread. That baby butterbean is awesome!

I thought it would be nice to bring this old thread back.

I love the yeller knives but only have one so far.
My #73 Jack and a little snack at work yesterday.

(Sorry about the pic size, I'll shrink it when I'm home.)

My only one at the moment. I used to have another, but it has not been seen in 10 years. This one is a twin to Falah's above.

i have begun to covet that Eye Brand yellow more and more.
i have read it described as a "celluloid" and also as a "synthetic" handle. does anybody know if this is the unstable celluloid or not?

It is stable and has been for many years now. (Apparently some of the older stuff from the 60's or so was not.)

Been out walking in the woods with the dog this morning. Took this one with us. It'll be coming to work with me for a while this week.
