I really like that particular color of yellow on the German knives. I have a Boker with that same deep gold color and I really like it. I had a CASE and an old Camillus in yellow and they were kind of a light yellowish/white looking color that wasn't that distinctive.

The Boker (as is your H&R) is a pleasing amber colored yellow that looks pretty classy to my eye. Surprisingly, my Queen Country Cousin isn't that far off the gold/yellow color of these German knives.

Oh yeah... that H&R is gorgeous!

To Paul - thank you sooooo much for this lovely piece of Vintage History in immaculate condition - a workmans knife that is just awesome - the Brand - Old Cutler - how cool is that!

I promised this little yella fella some love after putting it at risk recently, so I'll give it some screen time here.
 


I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I do. It's not the most immaculate by any means but that's what I like about it. The porous bone pics up general grime around the edges and is starting to look pretty rustic as pocket time increases. My first yellow boned pocket knife and it's growing on me more and more. (No pun intended)

Hi Al -lol , mate I DO know what you mean, That beautiful Ol' Cutler was a gift to me by my good mate Paul, such a awesome package- it has it's original box- with those very cool Papers you see, like you with your Yellers - I am like that with Charlies knives- oh and just about every other knife - I keep telling my self I HAVE to stop...





but I cant...
