Yellow Handled Knife pics - show em!

I was going to post my wife's yellow Mora, but she won't let it out of her kitchen.

Ya know a fella could do nothing but collect yellow handles and build a nice collection at reasonable prices. They do call out to be carried and used though.

Great responses and a delight to see.

IHey Last Confederate;

I just put both of those knives up for sale starting at $9.99 if you like them..

On Ebay?...if so what's your Ebay name?

I might check out that Trapper!

Here are 2 more Yellow Slipjoints I picked up today.

Remington RY2 4 1/4" Stockman (Camillus contract)

And one of the new Schrade Waldens, which I believe are Camillus Contract knives, I was VERY impressed with the fit and walk/talk on this one today.

TLC, how can you be sure that's a Camillus? I'd like to get one of those, but don't want any "off shore" knives!

These are tangstamped "Schrade Walden NY U.S.A.".

These come in clear hard plasitc holders that came from the old Schrade factory, Taylor Cutlery liscensed them from Camillus.

I thought you might like to see the cardboard information sheet that was included, so I scanned the inside and outside. It was color, but I did it B&W to save size.

Thanks TLC, the hunt is on! The games afoot! Searching for a knife is at least as much fun as owning one. Tally Ho!!!!!!!

OK, and I'll play along too.. Leave it to my friend Amos Iron Wolf to start this very cool yellow knife handle thread!. :)

.. Actually, while I am at it, I was wondering if any of you vintage Camillus buffs could enlighten me on a little background information regarding these knives Wildlife Series.

It is a sickness isn't it....or in this case, YELLOW FEVER! :):):)

Yeah they are really nice and I am sure that I wil regret selling those..The Giraffe bone is real quality and the sheeps horn is very comfortable in your hand. I kept the warthog ivory tusk because my son said he liked it best.

But my budget is limited and I want to pursue a couple of schatt's that have caught my eye so easy come easy go....

Thanks,

Sunburst

SunnyD, I can't help you on the info, but that's a good looking knife. Every time I see one of the Wildlife Series on the bay I usually watch it. I've come to really appreciate Camillus in all its different forms.

TLC, I've passed on new Schrade Waldens I've seen listed because I too thought they were Chi-mades. I wish I'd known there were made by Camillus. Are all the new SWs made by them?

Don't worry Charlie, I'll check for your handle in the bidders list before I bid on any. I don't have a Calabash among my pipes. Can I still join the hunt? I don't have to be Watson do I?

Sunburst, both the Arnos and the MMs you have listed are nice. I particulary like the Giraffe bone.

Just remember folks. Don't put your yellow handles by your red bones 'cause, "Red and yellow can kill a fellow!"

As of now, the "new" Schrade/Walden yellow handled knives are, but that may change with Camillus' current situation.

I was just reading about that. It's a sad day in Muddville. That really sucks. Camillus made some great knives for a lot of folks. Makes me glad I replaced my Western 71, and got my Rimfire Classic and my Yello-Jaket when I did. I'm tracking/ bidding on a few YJs currently. (As Dzignboss).

Really sad to see Camillus go. I just hope it doesn't go the way of Schrade. I guess I better grab a few Moore Makers while I can.
