Yet another cancer sucks thread.

Best of luck, man - prayers and smoke for a full and speedy recovery!

"Can we wait till after blade?" We've never met but I can picture a you saying that to your Dr. It makes me laugh a good laugh. Gosh I hope that makes sense. Good for you!!
Prayers for you and your family.

I spent most of 2010 fighting cancer Danbo and from my experience... a good sense of humor helps as well as eating all your veggies and fruits. Hang in there 'big guy'... you'll conquer it in no time!

Cancer…
Knowing you have it, puts you on
the road to kicking its butt.
Family and friends smooth out the
potholes you may encounter on that journey!

Danbo,
Sorry man, just saw this.
I'm a 25 year survivor (Hodgkins), and my wife is 11 years of thyroid.
Hers was the papillary type.
She had her entire thyroid removed, then nuked with I131, and now takes thyroid meds daily (plus calcium and other stuff).
If you want/need to talk man, my cell is 614-589-1935.
Thoughts and prayers bro.
Mike

Danbo, prayers and thoughts inbound from Tennesee.
Don't let Gus talk you into any goat-love cure. Bastid will do anything to keep his herd docile.
Hang tight, and kick some cancer ass.

Frankly, having read Danbo's posts for so many years now ... I really don't think cancer has a chance.:)

Danbo is one tough water-fountain-lover.

Well, Friday they ended up taking my entire thyroid out. Spent a horrible night in the hospital, with hoses and wires clamped all over me, in a bed more fitting for a midget than a man 6'6". Even when I did manage to fall asleep, they barged in hourly for "Testing". Couldn't wait to get out of there. Am home resting now. Dunno what's in store next; will update, once I hear more.

Sorry things suck for you now Dan

Hang in there, my thoughts and prayers are with you...............

I am glad you got through the surgery safely. I hope the best for you and your family.

I have fought two different cancers since '96 (the most recent '10 with 30 days in the hospital); surgery, radiation, chemo. I get through it by not listening to anybody. Everybody has a cure, thought, or recommendation (you decide what is right for you). I made up my mind a long time ago that I had too much left to do on earth and I would never give up; so keep a stiff upper lip come what may.

I know that you're far tougher than it is. Keep up the good fight.

Danbo,

Yer half way there. My sincere best wishes as the diagnostics tell the tale going forward.

I can't recall where you live. My boss recently had a parathyroid tumor removed from the apparent "Ace" at such things, in Orlando Florida. I'm in Houston, which has one of the finest medical centers, and one of the very top overall cancer centers (MD Anderson), in the US.

My sincere best wishes, bro.

If I can be of any assistance, drop me a line. rdangerer@gmail.com

Glad to hear you're home Danbo. You shouldn't have asked for the extra nipple clamps... that's why they kept barging in on ya. Just wanted to make sure you weren't hooking them up to the EKG machine and trying to give yourself some extra "stimulation". ;):D

Gimme a call when you are able...

Glad you're home now Danbo and don't have to walk around in the open back hospital gown!
Oh wait!! A 6'6" guy in a hospital gown pushing his IV pack around the hospital... I'm bettin'
that would have been a sight!
Hope things are getting better for you and you are able to get some good, uninterrupted sleep.

I just saw this thread. I hope that all went well, and that the prognosis is good.

Just checking in to see if you have given an update. My thoughts and prayers are with you Danbo.
