Because small pocketable fixed blades that dont break the bank, are made of carbon steel, and actually perform well are awesome... Love me some small fixed blades when they have good handles... you can put sooo much power behind the cut, always have it on you, and use it for anything... have always wanted to try out an izzy, but for me the bk11/14 give you so much more, plus the price to performance ratio etc. That being said I almost pulled the trigger on an izzy2 before I went to Chicago last year (basically a traveling blade like you are wanting), but ended up carrying and bringing a plethora of blades because I have a problem and not buying the izzy2.
I don't really need another, so what you did is probably what I
ought to do.... Just grab a SAK, my Griptilian and my BK13 and/or the BK11.
Oh yes, I know how awesome the 11 is. I was also thinking about something smaller that isn't a slip joint. This is why I thought "Delica," but the Delica just doesn't do it for me. I can't open it worth a dern and it just doens't feel right in my hand.... Then I realized the Izzy is close to the size of the Delica opened and actually a bit cheaper than the Spydie and the part of my brain that rationalizes irrational decisions started to kick in.
ALL that being said if I had a Magua... I'd be cutting the you know what out of everything in site... Super jealous..
You should be. It is my hands-down favorite small fixed blade. It is the obvious choice; however, I would be awfully sad if it showed up missing in checked luggage.

just for that comment - Magua picture.
It's a crappy one, but it seemed appropriate.
or as the kids say... "Totes Jelly.... Totes Magotes..."
I don't know what you're saying and honestly, it confuses me a bit.... Should I take offense?
Go for the pink one, and wrap it with bright krekling green paracord. Make it look like a watermelon.
Brilliant!
