You are allowed only one Spyderco knife, which one?

My S30V Military PE

Although my gray Calypso Jr. PE is second in line due to it being such an excellent slicer. ;)

I don't have experience with that many Spydercos. Of the Dragonfly II, ATR, Ronin, Police, Endura, Delica, FRN Calypso Jr., SS Cricket, I'd have to go with the Calypso Jr. as the best all around knife; It's not too big, not too small, sharp as heck and pointy without having a weak tip.

After I get a Paramilie I may change my mind. :D

The question should specify "of what you already have" or "of all the knives they make"!

Of what I have, I'd say I'd keep my Gunting. It's so beefy, I have all the confidence I need in it holding up over a long time. It has a combo edge so I have a bit of each world. (I know some people think that captures the utility of neither, but I'm happy with it.) Some day, I'd like to learn all the hoo-haw about how to use the special parts of the knife.

Of what I don't have, I'd take the A.T.R., since it's a badass knife. :p

I'm probably one of the few who doesn't like Spyderco knives. That was until I saw the Persian. So it's the only Spyderco that I have.

So, I guess that'd be my choice.

It would be a tossup between the starmate or the calypso jr.
I like the starmate for the G10, big 4" plain blade, and the satisfying click of the liner. I like the calypso jr cause it slices like no tomorrow.

My favourite is probably the native, such a superb design. But in keeping with the spirit of the question. If I could only have one - that would have to take care of all my cutting needs then the answer is simple - Military.

Without doubt the plain edged micarta Calypso Jnr. Combines style and extreme practicality in one well designed package.

:( I guess the stainless Police too! What a knife! :)

And, it would have to have a plain edge for me, although I love the toothy one too! I certainly agree that the serrated, s/s Police is the "Quintessential" Spyderco - hands down.

Jeff/1911.

Never owned a Spyderco. Tip breakage, non-adjustable pivots, don't care for the thumb hole. No offence to Spyder lovers, it's just not my knife. Although I have been thinking of getting a SE Endura or Delica for secondary carry.

Gotta get me a Spyderfly though.

I love the old Spyderco Rescue, we have one in each car as well as our earthquake kits, great knives.

i would say inn a folder a starmate or an ATR, myself............both plain edge of course. also cool is the military, delica, police and civilian(delica, police and civvy must be serrated, they just dont look right PE to me).

fixed blade would be the perrin street bowie.

Lil' Temperance, S30V, PlainEdge. Why?

...because that is the best, toughest, most reliable, most ergonomic 3" folder available (Sal).

It would be the Calypso Jr. It is a small knife that cuts with the best of them. Lets get real. One Spydie is unthinkable. :grumpy:

Hmmm... So,
what's the ratio of people who answered the question
to people who just listed a bunch of Spyderco knives they like? :p
