Just curious. If you were forced to only carry/collect one maker for life and you could not own any other maker’s knives, which would be?

Yes, I’m sure I’ll leave out someone’s favorite maker but there are only so many choices for the poll.

Good point. CRK, Spartan, Les George, Demko, Hinderer, Spyderco, Benchmade and GEC all have folders and fixed blades. I don’t think Carothers has folders and I don’t think Shiro has fixed blades but I could be wrong.

I would go with Hinderer because the 4 that I already have should last me the rest of my life.

Although (even though its not a choice in the poll), Kershaw would be a good choice because they have a billion models and cover a wide range of price points, styles, and configurations.

It would be a folder, but because it's only one and needs to have a great heat treat, I would go with CPK, eventhough I don't own one yet. I see and hear the quality is well worth the trouble of tracking one down. Hinderer probably being the one knife that is priced fairly for how long it will last.
