Hi, as the title states, you can only have 1 EDC for the rest of your life. What would it be and why? For me, I would take the Para 3 because it's a good size (for me) good blade steel, the g10 is awesome, and its a really solid knife, great build quality and no play.

Always an interesting topic. For me, usually the last one I bought:o, currently a Buck Custom Shop 112, S30V steel, oak grips, brass frame.

I can't recall what I answered in the last several of these fantasy scenario threads*, but I imagine some sort of knife.

*Which really are thinly veiled "Suggest a cool knife for me" threads LOL

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's made yet...
Hinderer XM-24 M390 no choil slicer.

It would be a Large Inkosi, because between me and CRK, it could (and would) serve me the rest of my life (I plan to live to be about 150 years old). Only wear and tear part on the thing is the blade (possibly the washers too - both of which is where CRK comes in). Adjustable pivot as it ages, durable S35VN, ceramic lock interface (harder than the blade), tough titanium slabs - if one had to go the distance, I don't know if there is a better candidate. Actually, come to think of it, the Umnumzaan works just as well in all regards, and might just be even more desirable to me...

What, no Zombie Apocalypse in this one?

Do multi-tools count? If I have to have an MT or a knife I'll take the MT all day every day.

But to play along.....CPK Field Knife.

Fun topic but probably the only way it will come true is if it is the last knife I buy before I die. For me right now it would be my small Inkosi with carbon fiber inlays. Why???....Checks all the right boxes for ME.

- Perfect EDC size (I'm not a fan of large blades)

- Top quality build (I don't like to EDC cheap knives)

- My favorite materials (Titanium, Carbon Fiber, I also like G10 and Micarta but I think the CF is just a little more aesthetically pleasing)

- Beautiful knife (has to be visually appealing to me to want to carry it every day)

- Able to take apart EASILY to clean and grease

- Made by one of the best knife companies out there

My wallet, its got all my stuff......after that would be the Esee Izula. There are many options for carrying it. Its a mini prybar but has a nice sharp tip, easy to sharpen away from home, a great slicer and a great camp knife. Besides sharpening, this knife is maintenance fee

Probably and Izula as it is rugged, easy to sharpen, and it can be carried in a pocket like a folding knife.

Second that.

EDC for the rest of my life..... last time I answered a Vic SAK. I would be content with any number of knives that I presently own. I am not that hard to please. I have a growing fondness for traditional knives (slippies) again and would be content with a large to middle sized (4-4.25" closed) two bladed GEC at this point. Two years ago I would have said the GEC #42 (which is 4.25" closed) or a Northwoods on the same frame; now I am leaning more toward the 4" closed length. So, it's hard to say for sure what I would be content with. But I will say that I have carried a Vic SAK for 30 years.

Sebenza 21, Micarta inlays, polished blade. Can't really top it. Runner up is the ZT 0562cf.

CRK, Large 21...only had mine for maybe three month's but
it's perfect!
There's no longer any doubt which knife will be
in my pocket when I leave in the morning.
