You can only have 1 EDC for the rest of you life, what would it be?

One and only one? A multitool, the rebar most likely

if MTs are not included, then a SAK like the Minichamp,

if SAKs are a no-no as well, then my EDC folder would be the Spyderco Pacific Salt...over all these I have

Hi, as the title states, you can only have 1 EDC for the rest of your life. What would it be and why? For me, I would take the Para 3 because it's a good size (for me) good blade steel, the g10 is awesome, and its a really solid knife, great build quality and no play.

You could always look up the last 500 threads where people have answered the same exact question.

If I could only have one it would be my Koster Bushcrafter knife with a true single bevel scandi grind, this knife is the perfect size for daily chores, whether it's dispatchin' zombies or gettin' dinner ready this makes a great companion.

my Koster Bushcrafter knife...if it allows you to reach a normal old age...that doesn't help me at all. I need one that allows much longer than that... but I guess I should have bought that Koster when I saw the ad...

Reason is that it can serve my hunting purposes and strong enough for some light bush-craft while not too offensive if carrying it among the Aussie sheeple.

EDC is a big qualifier - means it is the carry for every day no matter what knife - no big fixed blades because I'm more in the world than out in the woods (though my heart and soul prefers the latter). That being said - this one could be a very fine choice -

Cheers, Ray

Spyderco Military, either full size or PM2. I actually carry and love the original para and would be fine with that.

It would be a sage series for me, probably a 5 simply because I feel like it would last the longest. I like the 3 because I tend to like the locks that operate like an axis but long term I think I would prefer something simpler for the additional reliability. The sage knives are surprisingly stout and can handle harder tasks than I ask of my EDC knives. The mini-grip gets the most time right now but if I were to only have one, I feel like the sage is more versatile, the mini-grip just carries nicer and is more fun to operate.

ya know, it's funny. you actually got me to think. as ted said, this question comes up quite a bit.

i EDC a vic farmer. it is always in my pocket. the interesting part is when you say "for the rest of my life". and, it got me to think... i mean, if i already EDC a farmer, why would that answer change? why would the condition change my EDC? i don't know. it probably shouldn't. but, it does make me consider my EDC choice. i guess, if my answer changes based on this question, then maybe my current choice is wrong. ya dig?
