You chose: Zero Tolerance 0121 or the RAT RC-3?

I have the ZT and love it. I like the way it rides while walking or sitting. Its so comfortable I forget I am carrying it.The weight is not a factor . Best of all I like the way my ZT fills my hand. The deep belly is great for cutting into meat. On more little thing, I used the notch at the base of the blade a lot for cutting string like stuff.

I would go with RC-3, I like the fact it has a bigger handle than the ZT and I like Rat Cutlery's warranty, but I'm sure the ZT wouldn't disapoint.

I like my ZT. Holds up very well and is easy to carry...comfortable. The handles are aggresive and grippy and after long sessions of work they can be a little hard on the hands. When using for extended periods, work gloves help.

I would go with the RAT-3 in 1095 if my purpose was EDC, wilderness carry, or survival. It will be difficult to sharpen the ZT in the field if one lacks proper sharpening materials like in a survival situation. The ZT does look cool, and no one can argue with the steel choice. But the recurve is silly and the handle looks too short.

Recurves give more cutting surface.

Haven't handled the Rat, but the ZT feels awesome, cuts like a beast and carries quite nicely. Fits my medium hands perfectly.

The thread that won't die!:eek::eek:

The ZT is almost twice the weight. I have a ZT0200 and like the feel but the scales are pretty rough. For me, the extra weight is noticeable. Good blade and looks like a decent sheath. I know, it's not a 0121 but it's as close as I can get.:)

The RAT-3 is my favorite fixed blade. I need to pick up an RC-3. It's a very handy knife. Decent handle ergonomics. The blade is just long enough and has a good sheath design.

RC-3 hands down.

I'm a big Kershaw fan but I dont have a zt :( , but I do have an Orange handled RAT-3 and that baby is a workhorse. I would pass on the recurve too
