Thanks DaveH, you're a fair contest host! I thought The Hungry Man OTF Auto would atleast make it into the finals. What a clever scheme to get money from people. Just host a lame contest with only 4 runners up, even though there were more than 4 worthy of being in the top spot! :thumbdn:

eel: if by swindled you mean, "voluntarily got a basic membership so as to enter daveh's very swell contest" then I would be forced to agree with you. voluntary being the key word. daveh made it something like the 3rd rule, gotta be a paying member so you knew about it from the start.

I suppose what really happened is that you got a little butt hurt once your knife design wasn't picked and so you want to take your ball and go home.

- Don't forget to be clever and entertaining.

Also a rule from the contest. You've ceased to be either clever or entertaining, eel, and are fast becoming nothing but annoying. A minor annoyance to be sure, something like that of a buzzing fly, but an annoyance none the less.

My knife was perhaps too awesome for such a contest It was the only folder with a locking mechanism!

Dave, there is no way that you should give eel a refund. He will still enjoy the benefits of membership, and will have gotten it for free. From what I have read, he doesn't deserve anything of the sort.
