Hmmm. I'd definitely contribute to this enterprise! My only regret -- I doubt Eel will be around long enough to enjoy his new sobriquet.

Membership in BF is a true privilege, one I enjoy more each time I log on. It is incredibly cheap -- an excellent value.

Heck, I totally agree with you, OP. I've been on BF ever since I got up LATE this morning, and it's just past 4:30 pm. All I have accomplished of any chores is one load of laundry that is still in the wash. I thought clean sheets would be a nice treat for tonight.

I've been reading and posting almost non-stop today. Except for a phone call from VG and a phone call from my dead-beat AH April Fool's joke pulling little brother Ty, maybe he soon RIP (just kidding....may he live long and prosper).
 
More than likely eel got the infraction for his language in post #20. Can this go to W&C now please? Huh Huh please?

You need to quit being a retard or you will get banned and wont even be able to use your membership. Man you are a tightwad if $10.00 bothers you. I guess you will never upgrade to the $50.00 platinum status with a tightwad attitude like that.

All of you who are complaining about him getting a free basic membership...

A "refund" usually means that you give the item back, and then you get the money back. So, he would give up his membership and get his money back.
Or at least thats what I gathered.

No one's complaining about him getting a free basic membership. in fact, we're contemplating chipping in and helping him out with a custom title as well.

he's pissed off quite a few people because he's a prick who thinks that because he upgraded to basic, he should have won the contest. however, if he won simply because he upgraded, it wouldn't be a contest now, would it? It would be giving eely a free knife for upgrading to a basic membership.

he's a jerkoff, and cheap at that.

:) and my apologies for this post in advance. I'll gladly take the infraction for language or personal attacks or both. it was well worth it.

Dave, thanks for the contest, although i didn't participate, it is always fun to see them posted, and it is nice to see the generosity of people on bladeforums, especially in light of all the crap that's been going on lately. I've been gold for three years (I think 3) because the people that are paying members keep this forum open for all of us.

Yeah, Dave.... thanks for the contest. I wish I would have known about it in time to participate and submit an entry. Mine would have been purple and lacey and really purty. Oh well......next time.

eel is acting immaturely. I believe that is a widely accepted opinion of his behavior in this thread/contest.

I hope someone starts another contest soon so I can enter. Rosconey2 and I just had a Pirate Giveaway that ended on Friday. It was fun.

Seconded. I had fun putting a knife together for this one, and it finally motivated my lazy ass to upgrade to basic member. I dont know what eel is complaining about, putting the knife together was the fun part, the chance to win something was just a bonus. I hope there's some more like this soon, they're much better than the contests where all you've got to do is post(not that I mind those, free stuff is always appreciated).

Dear Eel, you should check yourself, forst you wreck yourself. Though $10 is sure a whole lot of money. Oh right. I earned more than that sitting here reading through this thread.

FWIW, I voted for "ultimate survival". I'm inspired to see what tacticool (tacky-tical) high speed tool I can come up with in my office. I wish I'd seen the original thread in time!
