Thank you everyone for your kind words and congratulations Paden! Do you know if you're going to be buying pink or blue onesies yet? I've got a girl already so I'd like a boy but it is something special to be a dad to a little girl (as well as terrifying haha).
I like my Ruger M77 MKII 22.LR All Weather, but they are kind of expensive. Thanks guys, I've had the nagging thought of getting the Buckmark. I want a quiet woods pistol, so it might just be the ticket.
I keep looking at 10/22s as well, but my Remington 597 is a great shooter, so I'm holding back for a while. The 597 has one flaw...the magazine's suck. There's a brand called Keep Shooting that makes great mags for it and after getting those, free floating the barrel, and putting in the Volquartsen hammer, it's really nice. I might put a new stock on it this winter, but I'm ok with the factor grey plastic for now.
And speakin of my opinion,if your lookin to buy a good .22 pistol you should look into the browning buckmark. That gun is hard to beat in my book.
I have a Ruger Standard model, but I would like to get a S&W model 17 4 inch
did someone say model 17....

I'm going to have to see if I can find someone that has a Browning Buckmark I can shoot.... I've held them before but never really considered it after my markII
I'm betting something can be arranged if you come up this way in November... (or sooner)
Granted its cheap beer, but the shop fridge is stocked! :thumbup:and that's a hell of an acomplisment considering Diesel D just left!![]()
