Looks like Ka-Bar got an in at Gander Mountain. I saw the Remora and TDI knife on the shelf there. Not a bad start and hopefully they'll carry more of the lineup soon!

They've been here at the local Gander Mountain for a bit now. Good to see that Scheels is carrying KA-BAR, and a few Beckers as well.

8 carloads. apt is looking more like a war torn storage locker...

8 carloads huh? How many U-haul loads to get all the blades out?:D

Congrats on the new pad!
Homeownership rocks...two months after I bought our home I had to drop two grand on a new sewer line! lol

Very nice in all respects. That's a gorgeous dagger. Is there some specific aesthetic reason the filework doesn't go all the way around the bottom of the guard, just out of curiosity? Love the filework on that other blade you posted too.

The reason the filework doesn't go all the way around the gaurd is because it would of gone under the handle material once it was assembled. Maybe you can see it better with this pic.

I just got my BH Number wooooooo!!!!! I have a question about being a paid member. When time runs out on the subscription does it automatically take money out of your account to renew or do you do it manually?

It doesn't take money out automatically. You will probably get an e-mail a couple weeks before it expires, asking you to renew.

It is definitely worth the money for a paid subscription, IMO.

Don't want you guys to think I'm trying to shove my knives down your throat, and I know I already posted a pic of this knife. But I have since finished the sheath and there is a full post with more pics in the custom and handmade section if anybody is interested.

Damn..........I can see a layered BK4 in my future. I always wanted to get into knife making

Any Beckerheads use paper wheels to sharpen? What do you think of them?
I have been looking at them lately and have liked what I've seen.

Yes, I do. They are probably the best sharpening system out there if you can hold a semi steady hand. I got my BK14 hair splitting sharp on my first try. I have a 3600 rpm grinder but id trade it in for a 1750-2000 any day. Plus mins taking a crap. If you decide to get them pm me. Theres a site that sells them cheap but shippings about $10 so Id buy a grinder from them while your at it unless you have one allready.

Awesome. Thanks.
Would there be an advantage to a variable speed grinder?
