How do you like the BK11? I wanna get a Becker soon, but im not sure. GEC #71 is first on my list though.

What knives are you guys wanting?

Hmm.

I miss my BM 300, so that.
Also been searching for a BM 760, and a 635. Gonna buy a 710 when I get the cash.

I'm also buying my original Adamas back from the guy I traded it to, I keep saying that I'm gonna do it bit each time I do something comes up and money just disappears. :o

And then there's the ridiculously large list of traditionals I want to obtain...

Next on the list for me is another GEC...something in Autumn gold jigged bone, hounds tooth, eureka jack, scout...

I'm going to place an order at Tomars KABARS for some bk11 micarta but the shipping is 9 bucks! I'm going to buy a bk17 I think, to save on shipping you see :D I already have a bk16 but the clip in the 17 just speaks to me :D And ifin I don't like it I can always trade it out at the exchange.

Yay, MM! You do need a BK17. However...don't let the 17 get in the way of the Para 2...because you really, really, need the Para2.;)

The knife that I am working on is rin the kiln for HT. Here it is before going in:

Here is the kiln:

This is what I use to hold the knives:

In the kiln:

Heat Treat part 2:

1500 degrees F.

The blades are lifted out:

And placed into peanut oil, where they are "quenched."

They come out with a coating of "scale" (burned oil and blackened steel).

Next, I will place the blades into the kitchen oven at 425 degrees for about 2 hours. I will then polish the scale off, and attach handle scales/sharpen/etc.

I'm 17, I've been into knives since my papaw gave me one of his old ones when I was around 5 or 6. Been collecting ever since! Mostly have CASE knives and a few Bucks. Just last week I began my obsession with the modern more tactical knives. I got a ESEE Izula in black on the way!

I would recommend a BK14 for your first Becker. It was my first, and I think it is a great knife. However, I haven't handled an 11, so I can't compare them

I like the 14, but i feel like it would be too much like my Izula. But I'm not sure how the handle feels on the 11.

I really, really like the bottom one, what are the scales going to be made from?

Thanks! The scales will be Russian Olive, which is the same wood that I used on the folding BK13. I'll finish it today.

A picture of the mountains that I took this morning:

My dog:

I have a dog, I'll post pics later, We are going shopping :cool::D I need a tomahawk, is that a cold steel trail hawk?

It is a "Scout Throwing Tomahawk." It's what the BSA uses, and thus what my family bought.

I have a set of 6, and we built the target out of an old tree slab.
