If you want a Sodbuster, you can have mine. It's a Case with black delrin and stainless blades but it's pretty darn sharp. Email if you're interested.

Thank you for the very generous offer, Chris. But i am all set. I'd feel bad taking it. Thank you very much though :)

It looks to me like the new blackwash skyline has a little bit different blade shape. Do either of you that has them have a regular skyline to compare it? It looks pointier maybe.

The Bk11 that a won in Ethan's contest came in the mail today,

Nah, I think they're the same. I don't have a stock Skyline, but I have a RDSW that is the same, I think....

The Skyline is such a great knife.... Except they have a problem with centering. Both if my Skylines rub the liner.

I didn't know about the centering. Mine came perfectly centered. It is an awesome knife.

No--I think that the blades are the same. And both of mine came centered--but I took them slightly off center to make the flipping action better. I have 2--a standard blem, and the BLBW.

The knife that I am making for my Dad is taking shape:

Oh, and MM:
I guess that with Ethan giving you an 11, that's one more off of your want list, right?

Those are insane fuzz sticks. Do they work well for starting a fire?
Thanks! they work great! they light with a farro rod

Dang, that blade that you are making puts mine to shame! :D Yep 4 down, 11 to go!

Naw. My first ones weren't perfect, either. They improved vastly when I started using a belt sander. I bought mine for $35. If you want to know where, email me. I don't want any more Deal Spotting warnings...;)

Looking good SBK, what are you going to use to heat treat it?

Thanks. I use this method:

Heat the blade to 1,500 degrees in a small, electric test kiln. (I have a pyrometer to measure the heat.)
Normalize for about 10-15 minutes
Pull the blade out (with a wire system that I rigged up) and
Plunge it into old motor oil
Remove it after it stops boiling
Air cool it to room temperature
Put in a kitchen oven at 425 for about 1.5-2 hours

This should end up being about 59rc.

I'll see if I can get pictures of the process.

How do you like the BK11? I wanna get a Becker soon, but im not sure. GEC #71 is first on my list though.

What knives are you guys wanting?

I would recommend a BK14 for your first Becker. It was my first, and I think it is a great knife. However, I haven't handled an 11, so I can't compare them.

I have an order in for a 5 inch custom by Big Chris. It will be 0.1 inch thick M4, with blue/black G10.
It is the top knife in the picture.

I'm wanting:
Spyderco Native in the brown FRN
Becker BK2
Becker BK4
Benchmade Adamas folder (only if I can find one at the lower price)
Zero Tolerance 0454

There are others, these are just the ones I know that I want.
