Your All-Time Busse Favorites?

Dan, I thought you had a coated ZTBM-e not long ago?

My all time faves are:
1) Active Duty--I have 4 user ADs. My favorite small Busse.
2) Skinny ASH--this is probably my most frequently used Busse. I love it and it makes me miss the Company Store and Idaho Skunk. The ASH-1 is too thick to be useful to me.
3) CGFBM--my all time favorite chopper. The CBTs are awesome.
4) SHE--the Steel Heart Ergo is one of Busse's best designs. Such an awesome knife. I know it's sacrilegious to say but I've never liked any of the fusion handled steel hearts.
5) SFNO--this is the best looking Busse design IMO. It's one sexy beast but I don't like it in use as well as the two previously mentioned steel hearts.

Honorable mention for the Cultelus. My original little Cultie with tigerhide has seen and continues to see tons of use.

*hangshead* I wish this thread had come to the top about a month ago.... *shakeshunghead*

But! I've got my mistress bases covered... I'd like a skinny Ergo SteelHeart if anyone feels kind enough to part with one.....

Cobalt:
Sorry I mistook that beautiful mistress for a "lowly" (?) SteelHeart....

No problem. But I said puny, not lowly ;)

How many of the ZT Terror Monkeys were made?

Well, supposedly, 300 sets of BM/SH/BA/SJ were made, then there was a bunch of coated ones cheaper finished. So not sure if there is a rarest model.

IIRC, there were only 100 ZTSJ's made. THe BM/SH/NO's were around 300. No BA's were made though.

But there is! It's a NOergo marked as a SHergo. Only one!

Ding!

As far as I know this mismarked ZTNO is the only one that exists today, rest were recalled and desposed of.

But then.. the Ghost ZTNO seems to be the only one we've seen so far...

Here is a link to an old thread started by Jerry about the ZT series: ZT knives
There were 400 each of the ZTNO, ZTSH & ZTBM, and 100 of the ZTSJ.

Notice the deeper swedge on the mismarked ZTNO & the one below it compared to the ghost ZTNO - IIRC, this deeper grind only appeared on 30 of the ZTNOs; all other ZTNO, ZTSH & ZTBM knives have the more shallow swedge.

As far as my favorites (in no particular order):
- SHMS
- SHSHII
- SHBM
- Basic 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11
There are others, but these are the first to come to mind.

I miss my ZT set but my NucHeart Variant that Jerry handed to me at an INFI 1500 in 2003 when I retired and my 1/100 SHBM are my favorites.
