Your All-Time Busse Favorites?

Here is a link to an old thread started by Jerry about the ZT series: ZT knives
There were 400 each of the ZTNO, ZTSH & ZTBM, and 100 of the ZTSJ.

Notice the deeper swedge on the mismarked ZTNO & the one below it compared to the ghost ZTNO - IIRC, this deeper grind only appeared on 30 of the ZTNOs; all other ZTNO, ZTSH & ZTBM knives have the more shallow swedge.

As far as my favorites (in no particular order):
- SHMS
- SHSHII
- SHBM
- Basic 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11
There are others, but these are the first to come to mind.

400? I am pretty sure at the time I remember 300 being the number, but maybe I am confusing it with the SHBM who knows. I also thought that the total number of ZT's was around 1200. But the 100 ZTSJ would make sense as you never say that one as part of the set, it was always BM, SH, BA as a set.

I thought I remembered 400, then I checked the 2001 thread (click on the link "ZT knives" in my post above) where Jerry said "There will only be 400 of each model (BM, SH, NO) made and this offer will only be available until the end of July."

So a total of 1200 of the 3 main ZT models would be correct.

you are correct, I just looked it up. I think 300 always sticks in my head :)

I saw it years ago at the Indy 1500 show - it's a very nice slotted bolt 1/300 SHBM with fully-grooved handles. I have never seen a 1/300 that I didn't like, but I especially like that handle style.

I remember it, but I always wonder why he calls it a 1/100, he has been calling it that for ever?

I call it that as that is what Jerry told me around '99 I think it was when he was at the INFI 1500. From his lips to my ears he said it was one of the first 100 ever made. I'll just start calling it 1/300.

Bob, you gotta know that I am messing with you. Call it what you want.

Now as you guys seem to resolve a denominator question, should we focus on the numerator? :D

everyone that has had a squatch swears by it....my all around favorite is the SFNO LE, closely followed by the Batac
