Your best and your favorite fixed blades....

I told you I was fickle... I really like the collection of Bark Rivers I have quickly accumulated thus far. I guess the little Huntsman - in a pocket sheath - is my favorite EDC, while the Gameskeeper is just a hard act to follow.

Below are my chronological recent attempts to 'find' my perfect woods walker/bushcraft candidate. They are, L-R, Benchmade 201 Activator+ (D2), B R Huntsman, Fox River, Gameskeeper, LE North Star, and T.U.S.K. (all in A2):

Probably a great knife would be my previously pictured Buck #408 Kalinga Pro in S30V - with a Bark River-type convex grind... I can dream!

Have you tried looking into a Bushcraft knife from Dan Koster.

I've heard they can be made with a full convex grind.....

My favorite fixed blades would be Puma HUnter's Companion and for heavier tasks Puma Alaskan

My favorite fixed blades that I own are the Cold Steel GI Tanto, Cold Steel Bushman and Cold Steel Kobun. Oh, and all my Cold Steel Machetes including the Kukri.

I love the GI Tanto and Bushman series. It's all one piece of great steel. Nothing fancy, just good, tough, dependable steel.

Are you planning to keep it that way or put handle scales on? It looks comfortable as it is....

hey mmmotorcycle....I plan on getting handles for it eventually, just haven't decided what the material will be yet (G-10 maybe) ....oh yeah, i plan on upgrading the sheath too :p
