Good one, Mike. LOL! My wife likes to give Smoky peanut butter too. But hell, the world is food to Smoky!

Sadly they can't come inside because they try to eat the cats, but I really wished they could be inside dogs.

This is Jessie - she's a registered Mountain Cur

She chases anything with fur that is willing to run up a tree or in a hole. Squirrels, coons, possums, rats, flying squirrels, you name it.

She's really smart, but kinda crazy too. You have to sneak up on her to see her lying down. Bounces off the walls. I love the breed though, and they suck you in cause they are so cute as pups

Zip7, what a great picture that is. Made my day. If I had a Mountain Cur like that, I think I'd name it "Coonballs". :D

Here's my little French girlfriend. They're not all poodles, just 'cause they're French!!

Just for fun, another one!

Wow, some beautiful, and down right cute at times, buddies! If I tried to comment on each that I wanted too, I'd never get this posted. Love it.

I spent Saturday morning at the Wilfred Works and shot this pic of Tony Bose and his buddy Petey. Petey is a great dog and whines every morning when Reese arrives so that he will play red laser dot tag with him. When I asked Tony about Petey's pedigree, He said that Petey was a "neighborhood indiscretion". Petey weighs about 80lbs and there isn't an ounce of fat on him.

Those are all nice dogs. We don't have one at the moment for a number of dull reasons. But we're planning to get one as soon as we're settled down. Hopefully next year.

RIP Kramer.

Our Hovawart went on to his great reward last summer. Was about 11, old for a 115-pound dog. We miss the hell out of him.

I've owned dogs before, and enjoy friends dogs at this point, but here are my guys:

TheBoys-small.jpg

Foreground is Keiko, 28lbs of rompin' stompin' cat love. Background is Shamu, about 17lbs. Not pictured is Princess Grace, our latest, who adopted us just over a year ago. She's about 10lbs. We also feed two strays regularly.

We live in a college town, and unfortunately, there's a big problem in these parts with the kids just moving away when they're done with school, leaving their "pets" (and I use the term loosely; more like "jewelry" to these idiots) to fend for themselves.

Shammy and Keiko are straight adoptees, Gracie found us when she was abandoned. The boys are going on 8, and are pretty classic indoor cats, sleeping with us, etc. Grace is 2 and has to sleep outside, since she refuses to "get" the catbox concept.

Thanks Sam!

I know what you mean about the problem with kids just moving away and leaving their "pets". My wife and I just moved out of an on-campus apartment complex about 2 years ago, and their was the same problem there. One of our neighbors used to adopt the stray cats and try to find them good homes. I think he had at least 10 cats come through at different times just in the 2 years I was there.

Petey is obviously a Holstein... ;)

Sorry no pics right now, but we have three.

Biggest is a black lab mix, next in size is an Queensland mix, and the smallest is a chihuahua/dachshund mix. Two are rescued animals from the shelter, and the third is a stray we picked up.

My wife makes sure they are overfed.

Here is my slightly dim witted, and overweight chocolate lab KC. He has been a fantastic companion for 10 years now. All three of my girls (yes I have 3 young daughters;) ) love him.

He is great at eating, sleeping, and clearing the room with his farts:D
