Your best machete

yeah, but I don't think any distributors have 'em yet.

Looks like the only Czech eshop which has Condors in it's list don't sells them yet. Just checked it. Pity.

BTW about Ontarios, they have 3 lines (Camp&Trail, New Improved, Econo), but the steel is the same. Is there a significant difference between the lines?
The New Improved line seems interesting because of the knuckle guard, which might protect hand against minor scratches, do you have any good experience with this type of hilt?

the knuckle gaurd would probably just end up getting in the way for some applications. i would go without it.

My one and only machete. Martindale Crocodile 1945.

I have a 24" Tram just like another unnamed forumite does. I like to use it around here but if I want a shorter one I have a 16" no name that works great...

:D It's still hanging in the Garage waiting on me to finish it :o I got it cleaned up & it has a nice Pitina on it & a Razor sharp edge ! Thanks again 'Ol Bud !

Didn't Siguy make a super machete at one point, I wanted to buy one, but I wasn't around for a while and I think I missed the opportunity:grumpy:.... Did anyone get one of those?

I think Siguy made 2 out of S7 Steel for his own personal consumption. I don't think anybody got them. He is hoarding them all to himself.

I use the Woodsman's Pal for heavy work and keep a Ontario Knife 22" on my ATV, down here in the swamps of Florida.

hey, what kind of machete is that one posted by m48shooter3? the one with the MP on the blade? I like the thickness of it, where can i find them?

Hmmm.. We are gonna have to have a talk with him....

Weird. I just sent his back to him today in the mail! I got a chance to use it on the florida trip and it kicked some major but in edge retention.

I'm waiting for the carbon condor, too. Price seems high but it comes with a good sheath. The only reason why I haven't ordered a Martindale yet is because there are no (good) sheaths available.

I've only seen the 18" version online so far, I hope they'll make some shorter versions.

Tramontinas are great! I have one my dad gave me when I was about 12 and he's had it for many years before.. it's gone through hell and back and still wants to do its job like the day it left the factory. Top machetes for sure!

I have a bunch 3 Trams and 2 Ontario machetes so far and plan to get more in the near future. Have not had a chance to sharpen them up and use them but so far I like playing with all though the little 12" Ontario with D-Gaurd is just plain cool!!

I want to get my hands on a Maertindale Golok and if anyone knows where to get one at a good price, please email or PM me. . Never mind, just got an email from a customer and he told me where he got his. As soon as I have the extra money I'll be buying my own and making a sheath for it. Thanks,

Heber

One very last question, gentlemen - can somebody give me the width of Ontario (their camper line, I don't know if the size differs from the military issue one - I guess it's the one you normally use?)?
Oh and is there a eshop in USA which would ship to EU?

Don't know if anyone mentioned these yet, but I like the old school collins machetes. pre'45. They're spendy but they can still be found here and there in good condition.
