Your Choice of a $15 EDC?

I just made a video on youtube for some good cheap knives, which included the #8 opinel, a SAK, a CRKT rollock, and a case sodbuster and some mora fixed blades...All good and cheap...if you want to watch the vids, just search my name, cutlerylover...

My local Marshalls (clothing retail store) had about 5 camo SAK, Tinkerer's on a rack for $7. Had two blades, a phillips, can and bottle opener / scredriver tip and lanyard ring. I need another knife like a need a hole in my head so I didn't buy one..........

$15.00 WOW!!! Just go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a Sheffield Folding Razor knife. not real cool but you will NEVER need to sharpen it!!!

Opinel No. 10, or a Mercator Cat knife.

I totally agree,I have all sorts of expensive knives, but the Mercator is always in my front right sewn in knife pocket, unseen by the sheep.

FRN Meadowlark.
Sod Buster.
About any RR pattern you like
SAK

A year with a Opinel ..probably wouldn't last. The Meadowlark certainly will. I have had no issues with the Rough Rider traditional either so far they are holding up very well. My other "inexpensive knives" just are over the 15.00 limit.

The Opinel will, if you use it for cutting only. My #6 is 4 years old, and is in my pack every day for general use.

Enjoyed the videos cutlery lover...very nicely done. I would put the CRKT Rollock on my under $10 list...this knife gets SO much grief on here...and I can't figure out why. I have put mine through hell...over and over...and it still looks like new and sharpens up great. I even used it to cut extra thick "plastic" like wall coverings for my daughter's room and it worked great. Once you practice a bit with it, it opens easily, and closing it isn't much of a problem either. I have never once had it malfunction in any way. My main complaint is the polished blade gets fingerprints when you close it. In actuality, there are lots of places that really mark older knives down...SMKW and others. You can really get some great deals if you are patient.

Some of the Meyerco Blackie Collins knives are not bad for the 6 or 7 bucks that they cost as well. Of course, Opinels, SAKs, and the Cold Steel Kudu are not bad for the money either.

Im glad you enjoyed my videos, I just added a new one of my gear...anyway, yeah the rollock does not get alot of good talk, but the people who own them can appreciate them, by the way I have the same complaint about the mirror polish on the blade, lol...But boy does it look nice when its clean! And yes, SMKW has great deals all the time on cheaper knives, alwaysa great priced CRKT on their site and in the catalogs too, I just wish they could do the same thing with some Benchamdes and kershaws, lol...:D

Here's two more sub $15 knives worth mentioning. Top is an IXL small lockback and bottom is an EKA Compact slipjoint. Both can be found on the net for about $10.
