Making my self a small leuku knife. A long way to go, but I enjoy the process. :)

Three balls I've turned, two Olive ones that are drying slowly & cracking..... will probably epoxy fill & turn them in the future, & a Briar ball that's had a coat of epoxy & is rubbed ready for another.

So many cool projects!

John, your saddle work is amazing! ISS, the wood carving is so neat, very artistic!

Knife projects are on hold right now. Where I work, I was put in charge of providing our workers with cloth face masks. Finding materials has been frustrating, to say the least. Elastic has become as popular as toilet paper, LOL. We have some ladies doing the bulk of the sewing, but I figured it wasn't fair of me to ask for results without being able to produce some of my own. So I taught myself how to use a sewing machine. I wouldn't make it in piece-work, and won't win any awards for neatness, but they are serviceable and should hold together.

Haven't actually posted on here in a long time but quarantine time has pushed me way back into the knife hobby.

Some recent projects the last few weeks.

Little pocket slip for my #62 + it fits my TC Barlow or Huckleberry Boy's Knife. First try at actually tooling leather... wasn't quite as hard as I thought it would be actually.

Belt sheath for my Texas Camp Knife. Used a bit of an old bone I dug up out of a creek bed for a toggle lock.

Was dying to get one of these woodland micarta H10's and was even more stoked to find a dealer selling them sheathless. Meant I got it cheaper + it gave me an evening project.

Whittling some small maple camp spatulas on the days it's been nice enough to sit outside.

Excellent work. Very very nice and clean. Love it! Thank you for posting. :)

Kicked out 3 more osage bows the past couple weeks, just need a couple more coats of finish and then I have some smoke tanned deerskin leather to stitch on for handle wraps. One is for my youngest daughter, she's 26 y/o and the last bow I made for her when was she was 15. Another for a son-in-law and the third is for one of my brothers.View attachment 1320827View attachment 1320828View attachment 1320829

Wow! These bows turned out great!! Really digging them, especially the recurve. Well done. Three very lucky people out there. ;)

My kids wanted to make another round of rings. The black one is a micarta one my son made. I’m not sure what the amber material is, but my son, daughter, and I all made one out of it. Maybe just resin?

We also had our first safety incident in the shop. My 7 yr old son, who has very long hair, was buffing the micarta ring with a Dremel. Apparently he leaned over a little far and his hair went down and got caught in it. He calmly turned it off and pulled out the bit. It pretty much turned a chunk of his hair into a dreadlock. My wife spent 30 minutes untangling his hair and it was good as new. Lesson learned. It’s not something I thought about before because I have short hair, but the kids tie their hair back now.

Nice work on all of those items. Your leather sleeves and sheaths look great and the wooden camp spatulas are very nice as well.:thumbsup:
