Your Crowning Achievement for 2006 Please post pictures

This knife is the first four bar composite twist I've welded up. 120 layers of 15N20 and 1084. It's also the first tapered tang that I've made. It is also my first fully forged knife. It is easily the best knife I've ever made. I'm going to be making a lot more forged knives, while still making some stock removals from time to time. The gentlemen who received it for Christmas was overjoyed. I've never seen anyone with such a big smile on his face. It made all the work worth it!

I love the way the mokume stained into the damascus. I had accidently stained another knife when I tried to fix the etch (I had scratched the damascus etch up) on a previous knife. On this one, I did it on purpose and it has a real nice appearance. The blade was edge quenched. It's hard to see in the picture, but you can actually see the temper line through the damascus!
