Your dream watch

I am an avid collector of watches, my everyday watch is the Citizen 180m eco-drive titanium, others that I have are Luminox navigator, Orange face seal diver,Citizen Navitach with yellow face, Citizen eco drive skyhawk, Seiko 200m diver auto, several g-shocks lungman, frogman, gulfman, and then there are the watch magazines, International watch,Chronos, watchtime. The creme de la creme would be the ROLEX "Submariner" black face w/date that is the watch I would love to own 1 day. My wife just does not understand why I love watches and knives so much and why I would need more of them. Same goes for me and her kitchenware fetish.

it is the pilots version (which i like a bit better than the spacematic version).

I think I like the Flieger modle better too.

I am torn between buying the Fortis Pilot Pro and an Omega Seamaster Analog/Digital that are at timepiece.com. BTW Rick, a pox on you for posting that link :D
I can't make it through the day without checking that site several times.
Has anyone heard any negative commentary regarding the Omega Seamaster A/D? I already have a Seamaster "Bond" model and it has been great. I had to change the battery back in December, but it lasted for 5 years until then.

Phil,

It's not my fault.

This forum made me buy my watches!

I was very happy with the watch I had for years.

Then I started reading and looking at the watch posts.

Then I did a search on watches, etc.

Three weeks ago I bought a Luminox model 1561.

I got it yesterday and have not taken it off since. :D

I really like this watch.

RGRAY: Thanks for providing the link to the eBay auction. Unfortunately, the auction closed before I had a chance to even bid. The watch is also a bit older than I wanted (20 years). Do you (or anyone else) have any other leads?

Thanks again!

Yeedude,

register with eBay and do a "save this search"--it'll email you when a hit registers for 90 days, I think. I've seen that style of watch pop up pretty regularly. The non-ti Orfina version, which has a very similar face, is often listed, as well. Not cheap, but a very fun watch, those Porsches--just like the cars.

Also, try TimeZone's buyer's area( www.timezone.com ). Tons of listings, and searchable, too. Not an auction, so the buyers can often be reasoned with :)

Dream watch, a Titanium Submariner with Traser Vials... Ya said "Dream Watch!"

A tie between an original (worn on the moon) Omega speedmaster or a true GSG9 Sinn EZM1.

To get the first one I have to become an astronaut. To get the other I have to become a highranking officer (?) in GSG9. So I think that I´ll have to settle for a "ordinary" Omega speedmaster, or a Sinn EZM2 (more in my pricerange). Although I wouldn´t mind working in either proffession... :)

My wife & in-laws presented me with my dream watch as a Christmas gift last season.

It's a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5117 in white gold. I will always love the simplicity and classic elegance of its design.

PS Oh, and the sapphire crystal on the back which reveals the internals of the watch & winding mechanism is pretty cool too.

RGRAY - the black Ti version is nice, but the steel one with the blue face is to die for!

Kelly, that's my fav too. I think we talked about it before. Throw some tritium vials on that one and you have the ultimate watch.

I love that one too Ron...thanks for the picture!
