Your EDC of Choice

Folders and fixed blades have come and gone over the last 25-30 years. The one constant through all that is the SAK. Ive seen them in my tackle box, tool box, sock drawer, on my key chain etc. My wife even has one that she uses when we pick wild mushrooms. My switch blade was taken away years ago but that is understandable because I stabbed my buddy in the foot with it, booze was involved, never mind.:D But no one has ever hassled me over a SAK. The incredibly usefull, plain jane knife of the outdoorsman.

i always have a SAK or two for the tools, but i have gotten to where i always want my Large Classic Sebenza clipped on my pocket

the only time i don't have it is usually if i'm going to fly, i'm using my Delica4 when i travel

I had to retire my Yojimbo. Now Im never without a RAT-3 in d2. I have two I keep one mounted with a tek-lok for duty, and one mounted with the clip off duty. I keep it either on my belt or on the strap of my thigh holster in tac-gear. Off duty I clip it inside the waistband. Folders rotate. On duty usually a microtach socom and a benchmade vex. Off duty the only requirements are it has a clip and its plain edge.

At work a CRKT Tighe, which I've now carried for over a year and one of the best value for money knives I've ever bought. SAK Swisstool which is probably the best multitool.
General carry, CS 4" Gunsite.
At Archery, CS R1 Classic, which was my Xmas present, to replace a CS ODA.

I have hundreds of knives, but the one that finds its way into my pocket most days is the Microtech MTX2 50/50. Coming in at a close second place is the MOD (now retired) Watson model (which I viewed as nearly perfect – so naturally it got retired guaranteeing that if I lost mine I could never replace it!)

RJ Martin Manta Ray. Been on my waist for 3 years now. I had a leatherman wave as well but it broke when I was using it to install a cotter pin on an F-100 main wheel.

I've got a CRKT M16-14SFA that I carry daily - a lot of people on the forum don't like Columbia River - and don't like AUS8 - but I have had good luck w/ their customer service (my first one had a liner lock issue - the replacement is pefect) and the blade does well for its intended use. I've got a RAT3 on the way in D2 that will replace it a lot of the time, but when I'm on campus, my M16 sits nice in my pocket. I EDC'd a CS Voyager 4" for years while in the Army - it held up well (didn't hold an edge too well, but I abused that thing).

Might as well join the thread: Endura Wave and Leatherman Wave. My only fixed blade right now is a Busse Mud Skeleton Warden, which I've yet to break in. I'm sure it'll handle anything I throw at it though.

As of this past Saturday, it's gonna be the Boker Plus CLB Trance. Cannot get over how cool and how well done this thing is for 30 bucks.

Just perfect for EDC. Even have it on me now, and I wore a suit to work today. :D

EDC is Benchmade Apparition assisted opener, 3.4" blade on leather pocket scabbard in my front pocket. Also a very small SAK on my keychain with light and pen.

I pretty much always have my small Sebenza with a Prybaby. There's usually a SAK in one of my pockets as well.

Here's an update....

My trusty Benchmade 710 has been replaced with a yellow Spyderco Pacific Salt that I received in a trade for a third knife (thanks again Dale!).

Six years on and my Emerson CQC7 is still the best edc knife I've owned.
BTW if I could get away with it on daily basis the Gerber BMF would always be there.

in my right pocket i carry a crkt m1
and in my left i either carry a spyderco kerambit or the dodo
